1. Try using some GumOut carb and choke cleaner, the stuff that says it won't hurt the fuel injection, my 2.8 had the same problem.....   2. Spray some around where the throttle body connects with the air intake, if idle drops, take a T-20 torx driver, and tighten it up, if that don't help, replace ...

My 2.8 really talks thru the front to back straight pipe!!
 

   That brrrrap sound it makes when you're getting up to speed...............And when I'm outside the car, and my wife drives it away, it sounds EXCELLENT!!

I've got BFG's 215-60R14's on my 88 GT, and have no rubbing problems at all.........

  looks great when it's kept clean!!
