Re: Voltage Problems...

@berettaboi The receipt from the garage says "Found a lot of brown chunks in coolant & after car warms up coolant gets foamy & we are getting 30-50 hydrocarbons out of coolant recommended New Head Gaskets" For the 3400 Engine Swap...I searched on google and i'm still lost. I've nev...

Re: Voltage Problems...

Okay, so I finally gave in and took it to the garage and it turns out my head gaskets are corroded. It will be $1500 for them to fix it, which for that price I might as well get a new engine since something else will probably go on it and cost me another small fortune. I really do not want to junk m...

Re: Voltage Problems...

Okay, it's definitely the fan. My engine was going up really high in temperature so before it got to the "the point of no return" I took a look at the electric fan and it was not moving. Guess I will have to check if it's the motor or a bad wire later when it's cooled down.

Re: Voltage Problems...

Okay, so I think I might know what the problem is but i'm not entirely certain... The voltage problem has been happening only on the driving I do to and from work, the store, etc. all "in city" driving. Also, the voltage doesn't start doing the strange drop unless i've been driving about 1...

Re: Voltage Problems...

Ok so when I drove to work yesterday the idle went like this: In Park: 1 At a stoplight: 1/2 Driving: 1 - 1 1/2 Accelerating: 2 The voltage went down a few times but it didn't stall. When the voltage went down it didn't seem to affect the idle anymore than it did anything else on the dashboard. @Mon...

Re: Voltage Problems...

@Money pit Beretta @jskiguy I think I should upgrade the battery. I just had her stall on me. I drove a couple blocks and everything seemed okay, parked her at the store, started her back up and then she stalled. I don't know what else it could be really. I'll check what the idle does too on the way...

Re: Voltage Problems...

@Money pit Beretta Well this is further to my embarrassment but where would I check the idle? Is that the RPM thingy on my dashboard?

The battery is a Duralast Gold.

Re: Voltage Problems...

@scd88ga I know I thought it was crazy at first too but it is mentioned in the Chilton's manual. My battery is a maintenance battery and needs to have distilled water added to it every once in awhile to keep up the charge. There are also maintenance free batteries with built in hydrometers but I don...

Voltage Problems...

[Edit: I originally posted this in Electronics and Audio and then realized this is the better section. Sorry, i'm still getting used to everything here. :) ] Whenever i'm at a stoplight the voltage meter drops to slightly below the halfway point because of the brake light. Then as I hold the brake, ...

The Plot Thickens...

Well, I found it but this is not my VIN. I don't even think this was part of a Beretta at any time since it starts 1G2 and if it were a Beretta it would start 1G1, unless I am mistaken. So, is there anywhere else it might be?

Re: Center Brake Light Mount

@3X00-Modified I'm definitely going to be looking for a new spoiler one of these days but it's not my top priority at the moment. I think berettaboi's suggestion is the best for my wallet right now but thank you for the feedback. :)
