Re: Clunking around passenger side when making right turn

Agreed. Those 96 style control arm bushings are known for problems. Sway bar end links could also be it, they could be bad or the arm could be bad where they mount.

High pitched squeak could be the wheel bearing.

Re: Not your average Z26... a resurrection

I like that boxed axle, I bet it adds to the effective sway bar rate too.

How are you tuning for the woo wooer?

You should sell those wheels to Adam and get some Shoguns...haha :burn:

Re: Project 91 "SS" 3400/5spd

Haven't updated in a while. Got it running decent with a base pulse constant of "100" and had to figure out some weird stuff with the idle oscillating. I've always burned chips and swapped them, but while I was researching TunerPro/Autoprom to troubleshoot my wibeband 0-5v datalog I learne...

Re: What Exhaust coat do you use?

I had good luck using the VHT Flame Proof on my rear header last year. Blasted, paint only, then oven cure. This year though I did the front with their clear also. Blasted, painted, cleared and oven cured and it's already peeling off one of the tubes. Not quite sure why.

Re: Options for Leather shift knob and shift boot??

Mine is the leather Hurst knob from 4th gen Camaros. No pattern on it, just an H. But it's a comfortable, good looking knob that's cheap. 16mm thread. For the leather shift boot I had one sewed up by an upholstery guy. But I looked into adapting one from another car too. There is a BMW boot on eBay ...

Re: Taking a Beretta shell and building a chassis

Alex is going "regular" T56 in his last I knew - no torque tube. I think he's trying to stay away from widebody too. Norm started the C5 corvette torque tube chassis Beretta, but gave up. The v8 RWD Beretta challenge is something I'd like to do some day. Roadster Shop and Schwartz are a co...

Re: Getrag shift cables

I know the shift arm is a square hole, I believe the select is too. I welded a nut on mine, but lathing a new pin/stud would make installation a lot faster and easier.

Re: Getrag shift cables

I just modified the trans end of my shift cable, but I think it would be easy enough to make it universal. Length variations would probably be more of a problem because the variation would be lb the center and not on the ends. I've got cut to length throttle and ebrake cables from Lokar that are nic...

Re: Finally...

Yeah, those main wiring bulkheads are such a piss poor design. Makes dash work such a pain in the ass because I got it all sealed up and decided not to separate the connectors. I like the battery relocation. I wanted to do something similar on the pass side bit decided not to cut it up when it was a...

Re: The Derretta, 1994 base with some attitude.

Eastwood has a "rust converter" or whatever that comes with a spray nozzle on a hose that you can spray inside. I used it on my camaro subframe after I blasted it.

Honestly you'd be better off cutting it out and replacing it though. Wouldn't be that hard to fab.

Re: Bfest 2018 Registration Open!

We still need a grumpy old man figure. I've never seen that quad either. Bring it to Carlisle next year for Bfest 2019. I think you'd have a good time drinking beer and shooting the crap at the campfire.
