Re: Tiffwad's Turbo - 2013 Chevy Cruze Eco

Woo woo car is paid off completely. 49k on it. Just put some new plugs in it and cleaned the air filter. It has been stuttering up hills intermittently and apparently that comes from spark blowout when the gaps open up over time. Who knew? #boostrookie I see I'm only about 4 years behind in photos t...

Re: Not your average Z26... a resurrection

Pretty sweet. You thinking adjustable heims for the sway bar links? I think we talked about this before. But the 5/8 ones I built were too big and needed misalignment spacers. I bought stock links and they are very light duty by comparison, so you can go smaller than 5/8 off that's your plan.

Re: LS1/t56 swap

Those GTU spoilers are pretty cool. I've wondered about a wickerbill too. The Z spoilers are also flat enough on the back to use one. I kinda figured for my car out would look poser-ish. I think you can pull it off better. Haha

Re: Camaro paint job...after almost 10 years

Oh there's a lot of stuff yet to be torqued. Like basically everything. Haha Yes, SPi epoxy. I got the gray and the black. Had rave reviews on NastyZ, but I liked the Omni stuff we used on my dad's last project a lot better. Lays down with less peel and not as prone to pinholes. This car is getting ...

Re: Front hub fail

Pretty sweet that you have a mill in your shop. What else do you have? I can use the mill and lathe etc at my work which is sweet, but they had a ton more stuff 20yrs ago that they got rid of. I just got a pair of front Timken bearings that are made in China. I bought old stock ACDelcos for the rear...

Gotcha.

RT is free with an optional donation. It's just a 10sec wait if you don't pay it.

Re: The Derretta, 1994 base with some attitude.

Rewritable chips are $5. Haha

What am I missing about poly bushings in a stock rear axle beam? Aren't they rubber?

I tried to use a ball joint press to remove mine but didn't have the perfect adapter for it. Thinking I'll need to pull the whole axle out and do it on a bench.

Are you positive the new ECM is good? Can't find any issues with the wiring?

Yeah. The engine bay looks so much cleaner without ABS but you can ruin 4 tires in a hurry without it!

Re: Camaro paint job...after almost 10 years

I picked up a set of double adjustable Viking coilovers from UMI. Went with the 550lb springs. My old Hotchkis were 600 (which I still have if anyone is interested) but I can adjust the shocks stiffer when racing with these. (And way lighter for drag racing.) https://i.imgur.com/luql1S8.jpg https://...

Re: Camaro paint job...after almost 10 years

I actually tried to get the compressor stud through the shock hole but it's too big. I may have been able to cut the stud off shorter and get it to work, but my dad has a first gen that is gonna need the coils R&R so I just gave the tool to him. My fix is more expensive, but I really wanted to g...

Only been about...forever since any updates. But I've been working on the stupid Beretta for a while but my Nasty thread got bumped so I'll bring this one up to speed with my old posts. Photoshop of the final bumper, LED reverse and LED tail idea. http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n232/woody2136/ca...

Lots of irons in the fire, looks familiar! I'm sure that Lexus would be fun at the track day at Bfest.

Re: Wilwood fronts and Neon rear discs... Which master cylinder???

I run the lumina master cylinder with my wilwood brakes and no ABS. Decided to take the Beretta to work 2 months ago, was going around 50mph down a hill when a nice buck jumped right in front of me.. I smashed the brakes and it ended up doing a 180 and swapping lanes. Didn't hurt the car or the dee...

Re: Beretta Z28

All the reviews I saw on NastyZ were overwhelmingly positive. Viking was founded by some QA1 employees when they got sick of QA1 going downhill.
