Re: Pabst

Worst beer ever might be Keystone Light. In college that stuff was a staple for the first and second year student and frats.

Re: Pabst

I don't think i've had PBR since college. These days it's all craft beers for me. Just scored 2 six packs of Three Floyds Zombie Dust.

Re: some one school me on abs and "low trac" systems....

You also have a 96 Camaro with ABS and traction control problems? lol. I just bought one that has both lights on but I'm pretty sure it's because the previous owner put a bigger rear gear in it. I've read on the Camaro forums that a burnt of third brake light can cause it and a dirty or bad ground w...

Re: What is this part called?!

I did research it some more and I found out I am missing a bottom piece. I'll have to check the junkyards and see if I can find one. I went to one yard and they had a V6 Camaro and it didn't have the part. I'm probably selling this Camaro anyway so if I don't find one it's not the end of the world.

Re: What is this part called?!

I might be missing just the top cap. I've been trying to find pictures of the part to see what is missing. I was just assuming there was a missing piece that screwed into these two holes in the frame below it, but it looks like I'm just missing a cap like you said, and that it just sits there not sc...

What is this part called?!

It's a 1996 Camaro Z28. The parts that the battery wires are going to. I'm pretty sure I'm missing a bottom piece that it secure into. I've been trying every kind of battery related search and can't seem to find the piece I need. It's possible they don't make replacements anymore which could explain...

Re: Work boots

I might check out Wolverine. I loved my Sorel's and I got a $150 pair of them on clearance for $65. They were steel toe and waterproof, but they came apart after 6 months. Red Wings sound tempting but I don't know if I feel like dropping $300 on a pair right now lol.

Re: Work boots

I did look into Red Wings and they are $250 -$300 for a pair. Pretty expensive but if I keep burning through a pair of $100 every 6 months it would be worth it to just spend the money and get a pair that will last for a few years. There's a RW store near me so I think I'll check it out. Thanks, guys.

Work boots

What kind of work boots do you guys recommend? I've used Caterpillar and this other brand Sorel, both have worn out after 6 months. I need steel toe and something that's good for being on your feet and walking around all day. I'm thinking of dropping $150+ and trying Timberland Pro boots. Any recomm...

Re: Another loss of a good car guy

Everything you read about him is positive. A good guy who was a celebrity but didn't act like a celebrity. It's too bad, especially for his 15 year old daughter.

Re: HELP: Anyone ever swap out the speakers for BOSE?

You can do much better than Bose speakers. I was always messing with the sound systems in my Berettas and the best sound is to get an amp to run your speakers. Swap out those oval 6x9s for some 6.5" round speakers. It depends on how much you want to spend. The rear speakers are the last speaker...

Re: Gas Monkey Garage (Fast and Loud)

I always wonder if those deals are real or not. You always see him buying some car for nothing and reselling it for way more than he paid. I don't remember the numbers but he bought a Willys and resold it for some insane profit, like $30k or something. He must be good at finding people who don't kno...

Re: the sad state of my car radio wiring harness

It's all wires for your audio system, so speakers, and power to the radio stuff like that. You could get a new wiring harness. I'm sure most of your problems are in that wiring. I'd be scared of what's behind that electrical tape as well. Probably broken wires somewhere in that mess and obviously wi...

Re: the sad state of my car radio wiring harness

You could cut out that chop job and put new wire in. Not sure if this picture helps but cut where the red lines are and solder in some new wires.
