Re: MRZ lightweight UDP & Alternator Pulley: $165, 12117

These are still available. Please don't contact me if you're interested but won't have the cash (or time, or motivation, or whatever) until some undetermined future date. I've had too many of those since I've listed the pulleys. If you're interested, just wait until you're actually ready to buy befo...

MRZ lightweight UDP & Alternator Pulley: $165, 12308

I'm selling my MRZ Performance underdrive pulley & lightweight alternator pulley as a pair for $165. That price includes priority shipping (comes with tracking # & insured) within the US. Shipping outside the US is not included & will be whatever the actual cost of shipping is. I don't d...

Re: anybody buried in snow?

We ended up with around 9" when it was all said & done. The good kind for making snowballs. I was hoping for a blizzard, but only got a regular storm. It wasn't very warm out today, but apparently the sun was enough to start melting it this morning.

Re: Sporadic wheel clicking after alignment

I wouldn't be surprised if it was the CV, just annoyed. I mean the current axle was put on when the subframe was bad (been on for 2yr or so I think), and the new (JY) subframe was the main reason for doing an alignment, so I could see there being issues with it after driving like that for so long. I...

Re: Sporadic wheel clicking after alignment

It's rhythmic when it does happen, it's just not making sound all the time; sometimes the car is silent, and sometimes the clicking shows up. The slower you go, the more space there is between the clicks, and the faster you go, the less gap between clicks. Where we live I've dealt with ABS kicking i...

Wheel clicking after alignment (seems to be gone now)

I had an alignment done Wednesday, as well as snow tires put on. Ever since then I sometimes get clicking in the LF (sounds like left) wheel, but if I apply just enough pressure to the brake pedal to make them engage (but not enough to slow me down or anything), it immediately goes away. When it's h...

Re: Low coolant light on, no leaks and is full

The sensor is inside the overflow tank. You'll have to pull it out with some needle nose pliers. To add to this, when you unplug it, the end of the sensor is right where the plug was. It matches the color of the tank (on mine at least), so it can be hard to notice easily if you haven't seen it befo...

Re: Some minor issues (end result = head gasket)

I worked out a small remaining amount of air when I drove it to the store. It seemed fine overall. Temp was steady, heat worked, no jumpy temp needle. Bought the mystery oil along with cheap oil/filter for the oil change. And also bought my usual oil/filter for the final oil change. Hopefully this g...

Re: Some minor issues (end result = head gasket)

Edit: False alarm. It was just a bunch of air & the level sensor being fickle. We ran it again, and as soon as the radiator fan kicked in (3/4) and the temp dropped down to 1/4, I had heat. I was going to let it run until the fan kicked on again, but it leveled out around half and probably would...

Re: Some minor issues (end result = head gasket)

First startup after the repairs went well. It started right up, ran a little rough for a few secs, and then smoothed right out. Oil looked like mud when it drained out. I'll drive it a short bit before we swap out the oil again (for a half/half mix to idle in the driveway), and then yet again for a ...

Re: Some minor issues (end result = head gasket)

Lol, yea I didn't plan to drive it to the next bfest regardless. We would just rent a car if we don't have one able to go that distance. I can always record the first startup & upload it to youtube for the masses, lol. :P

Re: Some minor issues (end result = head gasket)

Just wanted to give a huge thanks to Jon and Amy for coming out to help Will fix my car. We probably won't get time to cycle the oil until tomorrow, but at least it's back together with all new gaskets. I think Will said the break was at cylinder #1, but I'm sure if Jon pops in here he could give mo...

Re: Some minor issues (turned major - the end)

I do love hiring myself a Jon. Except I think you have the magic touch and when my car leaves it goes suicidal or something, lol. :P
