Re: Tiffwad's Turbo - 2013 Chevy Cruze Eco

A lot of factory cars that are Bi-Xenon have a solenoid fired flat shutter that drops down in front of the bulb to create that crisp cutoff line. I put some new bulb housings with an H4 base in the Bonneville. Then I bought a High/low H4 HID kit for the low beams. They had a bulb mounted solenoid th...

Re: Tiffwad's Turbo - 2013 Chevy Cruze Eco

Im a Xenon guy myself. This is the kit ive been using lately... $72 Lifetime warranty. http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/UltraHIDKit Put a set in my Integra a few years back and 2 sets in my Bonneville last year. The big ballasts seem to be generally bullet proof. My GTZ has a slim ballast set(diffe...

Re: Tiffwad's Turbo - 2013 Chevy Cruze Eco

Those DRLs are downright classy. Ive been wanting to try LEDs but ive seen where the light output doesn't reach far enough. And they were pretty high end lights too. Im gonna try em on some fog lights eventually where I won't really care what the performance is. I have seen them with woven wire ribb...

Re: 2 potential LS swaps

This would be fun at the track day. It would be nice to see how it does at speed and really learn the car. I really like the handling and ride quality. Ya they put new Bosch pads and front rotors on this before it went on the lot. Super sharp brakes! The AWD I test drove surprised me. You don't loos...

Re: From super loud to no sound

I remember when I made my Z26 ultra quiet. I actually loved driving it that way. But ya, a loud exhaust does a great job of covering up all the other wear related noises. Im diggin' the modded VT. I always thought they were cool.
