Re: Center of Gravity
Thanks! I just read it and it's very helpful for finding the center of gravity within the wheelbase, but as far as the height of the CoG, they make a blanket statement about using the center line of the camshaft as the approximate height of CoG (they're talking about muscle cars and hotrods that don...

Re: Center of Gravity
Here's an interesting tid bit from the engineers at Whiteline, arguing that 0% anti-lift is a positive thing for the front end of a WRX as it will understeer less while accelerating or braking during a corner. Before assuming that this would be great applied to a Beretta I'd like to take readings on...

Center of Gravity
Hey everyone, I'm looking for the center of gravity of our vehicles in the effort to improve vehicle dynamics. I know most people just lower their cars an inch or two to lower the center of gravity (I've already done that but found that the car seems to squat on acceleration more than I'd like.) and...

I wish I could get this... I wanted to buy one of these and do a Z26 bumper swap on it... I had posted on here like two years ago looking for one.

Re: Indy/GTU Centercaps
3x00, I would agree for the most part, but what about impalas with 409s? There never was a factory 409 Corvette so I would assume the crossed flags was simply a performance indicator. You misunderstand what I meant with the option codes... I should have written it like this; Z51 if you have that sus...

Re: Indy/GTU Centercaps
I've thought about a good logo for the Beretta for a while now... I thought the crossed flags were good, since it's not just used for Corvette, (think muscle cars with the crossed flag engine badges) W-41 doesn't really make sense to anyone outside of our own GM FWD universe though, LOL. I've though...

Re: 96 beretta stuck in 3rd or 4th gear?
The 4t60 will default to 3rd if the pcm detects a electrical fault or there is a loss of power to the solenoids mounted on the valve body.

No offense was intended guys, I just see it a lot (not just here) where someone is getting creative with an idea and everyone kindly calls them an idiot. =p

Re: Infor about the 3.1L MPFI v6, and using MegaSquirt 3 on
I'm going to assume that a stock TGP bin will be good enough to run your car so you can begin logging and tuning. You are going to need a Willem prom burner or Moates' burner to make your prom, or see if anyone is willing to make you one over at www.gearhead-efi.com. Chances are you'll be able to ge...

Re: Just Bought My First Beretta ('94 Z26), any ideas for mo
Talk may be cheap, but I think that's the point. Many of us have neither the time, resources or facility to accomplish our dreams with our cars. So, before experimenting and wasting time, money and maybe a clean Beretta we present our ideas here hoping for some sage advise, not a put down. I like th...

Re: 3400 swap is calling me.......
@3x00, I wouldn't advise someone to just throw NOx at any engine that is not tuned for it. I know the cast pistons can handle 9-10psi of boost or mild nitrous, but a proper tune makes them last much longer. I like the idea of the high compression 3400 though, I saw Bob442's on 60degreev6, that thing...

Re: Should I have 2 coolant temp sensors on an 88 2.8 mpfi
I found the same thing as Asylum. The only green/white wire I can find according to the service manual is for IAC coil A low driver and the ground "control" circuit of the fan control relay. That's probably what your wire goes to, the other end is more than likely shorted to ground somewhe...

Re: Should I have 2 coolant temp sensors on an 88 2.8 mpfi
The harness you are talking about more than likely leads directly to the ECM. I will check alldata tomorrow at work to see if I can figure out where those wires go.
