Z26 lawn ornament

In Wisconsin, over the past ten or so years, I always see this poor Beretta sitting in somebody's front drive.
I wonder if it's worth saving? Maybe someday I'll stop and ask and take a look see.

Re: Bfest 2018 Registration Open!

People tend to procrastinate. Somehow it always seems to have a good turnout. I can appreciate the work that gets put into setting this up. Hope all others do as well. I've never been to one. I'm close enough that if I decided to go, I don't need a hotel. I'd maybe just go to some events, if possible.

The holes for the screws of the switch are elongated for adjustment. Maybe you just need to adjust the switch.

Re: What is an average cost for a Z26?

Sold my daughter's Z26 a little over a year ago. All things were in good working condition, it had good tires too. Some rust through visible, interior excellent. Over 200k on the odometer but engine and trans had 175k on them. I asked $1500, after a couple months, got an offer of $1200 so I took it....

Re: Won't stay running..

My 88 2.8 has a maf sensor. Does your 89? My 96 MAF sensor caused me some trouble. I'm wondering if you have one, is that the culprit. Have you pulled out some spark plugs to see what is going on inside the cylinders? Such as black spark plugs or dry white spark plugs. Do you have a timing light to ...

Yep, that is the wife's 85 T-Type garage princess. You have a good eye to be able to see what car is in the reflection.

Used it to go get some groceries, then gave it a wash.

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain

Wasn't sure about the voltage but I didn't think it proper to just apply battery voltage to test. I didn't want to read he now needs new injectors. There is info out there that says to test with a 9v battery to avoid too much current to the injector and thus damage it. Still another site says to tes...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain

I think the injectors run off 5 volts. Putting battery voltage to them might burn them out.

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain

I've never witnessed a leaky injector but I'd assume you'd be able to see it. You could put paper towels under the injectors and if it gets wet, you know it's leaking. Do an ohm test on each injector too. They should be 11-12 ohms. You can pickup a cheap ohm meter at Harbor Frieght. If an injector h...

I have two mills, one is a tracer mill, I have a 6 x 12 surface grinder, small lathe, EDM sinker, Deckel panto-graph engraver, Deckel copy mill, cutter grinders and small band-saw. I was in my own, one man, home based business for myself for 23 years. As more manufacturing moved offshore and CNC too...

Re: Front hub fail

I too soaked my assembly with penetrating oil and took several hours/tries to get it all apart. At one point, I bolted a brake drum on and tried pounding it with a soft mallet but that didn't work. I got my new hub and it took no time to install. ABS works fine now. I took a look at the other side i...

Re: Ignition switch/starter not engaging/intermittent charging

On some of my cars, there is a junction bolt where the battery is connected with a heavy wire, (10 gauge) on the firewall. But on my 96, I think there is a wire coming off the post on the starter in addition to the very large wire from the battery. These wires power the accessories. It sounds like m...

Re: Front hub fail

Yup, I have a rotary convertor which is wired up to power all the machines but not all at the same time.
I had heard the capacitor type convertors are ok but the motor will run at a lot less than full power.
