92' Beretta vs. 99' Firebird
I'll start off with thanks for chiming in, I was waiting for someone else too. I agree if you want to find out the cars true capability dyno charts and all you listed are the best. I'm only saying car magazines are only for reference and that's why I said to go to a site like dragtimes.com. I know w...

92' Beretta vs. 99' Firebird
Power to weight has a lot to do with off a dyno. On a dyno you're not pushing any weight. Usually on dyno runs the car starts in 3rd gear to allow the engine to run up the rpms longer than if it were in 1st or 2nd. And magazine articles don't give a good reference to a car's capabilites? Magazine dr...

92' Beretta vs. 99' Firebird
F-body weight ratios: Torque (0.0677 ft. lbs. per pound for a manual and 0.0668 for an auto) and Horsepower (0.0602 hp per pound for man. and 0.0594 for an auto). Now I'll use the 94 Z26 3100 for weight since its the lightest 3100 beretta made, which is 2983 lbs. Beretta weight ratios: Torque is 0.0...

Actually you should be careful what you say, because the camaro 3.8 has better torque to weight ratio. Yes a retta v6 will beat the 3.4 camaro. Do the math before saying things. Prove me wrong with facts and not a hypothesis. And explain how rwd has a disadvantage b/c i wanna read this. And I'm glad...

92' Beretta vs. 99' Firebird
Honestly look at the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times of the Firebird and a Beretta. The 3500 lbs for a v6 Firebird is wrong try 3323 for a manual and 3369 for an auto. To break 3500 in a 99 Firebird you have to get a T/A convertible. 0-60 times. Check this link to look at the times. You need a quad 4 to run...

Old Quad 4 mounts
I'm looking for old Quad 4 tranny and rear engine mounts to fill with poly. I'll see if anyone over on quad4forums has any too. Thanks for looking.

Was the Firebird an auto? I stick 3.8 f-body should walk all over any stock v6 or 2.2 retta, stock. But this just goes to show you that racing mostly depends on the driver. Just keep it safe. I'll have to see if I can race my friend with his WRX again. I kick his rear on the roll but that blasted aw...

Chain tensioner spring
Yea the dealerships are starting cross us out. I got a couple resources but I can't find anything at least for this part. I usually go to the yard to see if I can find treasures. Still looking for a door panel for my car.

It's no biggy now. Made my own plastic piece. I figure I would probably have to go to the dealership to get one anyway and I don't need to spend that money.

Chain tensioner spring
I replaced the tensioner and tensioner shoe, but when I pulled the spring that helps the shoe the clip that holds it I broke. So now I'm trying to find where to buy the clip. I can't find any diagrams that even show the spring. And I can't go to a junkyard to get one b/c no yards around my area have...

Yea I would have to agree with you on bnet becoming dead. But there are still a few dedicated members out there. And to 2nd money pit keep us up to date and good luck. I would love to turbo the quad but don't feel like spending the money.

This is the 3M stuff to get. This is probably the most commonly used stuff. You should be able to pick it up at Advanced Auto or whatever it is in your area, Autozone does not carry it. If you're looking to go for a two part urethane try this website. You're gonna have to let a two part urethane cur...

Timing chain cover gaskets
Well its a lot cheaper to fix the retta then to buy a new car. Honestly, I can't find a car that I like better than it that would be practical for me to buy to replace the retta.

Well 1988GTU its the double row chain. So it may be safe to say all 90 GTZs are double row chains. I didn't pull the motor b/c I didn't feel like fooling the tranny and hydraulic system. So after seven hours of ripping stuff apart everything is off and is ready to go together I just need to hear bac...
