Digital Dash Color Change

I was just redoing my color plates again and realized I didn't mention a few things before.  You typically can only fit one layer of plastic film between the color plate and the LCD, so the darker the color the better.  The thing you're contending with is that the halogen illumination bulbs give off...

Racing Stripes for $20

Ha, cool, I've never seen someone do a write-up on racing stripes before.  Good tip on the pinstriping making a cleaner line than painter's tape!

89 Baretta

Hey Steve, welcome!  I believe the problem is probably the Temperature Valve Motor.  Check out some old replies I did on this, and good luck!

vent and blower issue

Most of the time when you get hardly any air through your vents it is caused by a buildup of junk on the evaporator core (which is above the heater core).  You can get to it by removing the blower motor and housing in the engine bay, or by removing the heater core inside the vehicle, then the evapor...

high idle when cold & CEL

My first guesses would be throttle position sensor or idle air control valve, but definitely see if you can get it scanned.

That's cool!  Do you have any finished/installed pics of the kick panels?  How many speakers does the car actually have?  I count 12, but wouldn't be surprised if there are more Looks nice with the ventvisors on there now.

15" Crosslace Alloy Wheels

I have three of these things sitting in storage.  I haven't looked at them in a few years so I'd have to check on the curb rash.  They've got clearcoat issues too.  Will let you know when I have a price/pictures.

Door Tweeters

I grabbed some tweeters from the doors of a '97 Grand Am GT (mounted where our mirror adjusters are) and now I've got a question if anyone knows about GAs...How are these things hooked up from the factory?  Do they have their own output from the stereo, or are they run in parallel with their respect...

trans. question

What was the 4-speed they put in the earlier Luminas ('90 or so)?  There used to be a guy around here named Jonathan who installed one of those.  It was a pain to install, but it worked fine.

battery relocation

One of the positive wires from the battery goes to the starter, and the other positive wire goes to the junction block on the firewall.  Vehicles with foglights have a third wire which goes to the foglight relay.

Dead Speedo and now flashing SES

The speedo problem could be caused by the Vehicle Speed Sensor in the transmission, or both problems could be caused by a bad ECM...Try tapping on the ECM with the handle of a screwdriver while the engine is running and see if it stumbles or anything.  If you can, find a spare ECM from the same year...
