Re: Beretta GT into a Beretta GUTZ INDY

The suspensions were a little different too, I supposed you could put an Indy's FE7 front sway-bar onto a GT if you wanted, but then you are faced with the different struts... I have never been able to tell much difference in cornering between FE3 and FE7 myself, but my cars aren't exactly apples-t...

Re: Back to Berettas after 15+ years

What part of the country are you in? I do have a great shifting non-slipping TH125C (aka 3T40) in my '90 Yellow Indy -I want to 5-speed swap that car and just need the pedal set at this point, and the TH won't have a home after that (I have a few new CV joints for it too that came with the car)... I...

Re: Beretta GT into a Beretta GUTZ INDY

An Indy already has the GTU body kit with the Z style spoiler and seats. I don't think you can mix more than that without mismatching body panels... Well, ish. Technically, the Indy sideskirts are different than the GTUs' but it is a very subtle difference. The GTUs' spoilers are the only 'unique' ...

Yep, time for that 5-speed swap! Glad the car got you home, sometimes I think we forget how important that is... Awfully kind of our Berettas to remind us of that once in a while. :D

Patience NO.jpg I got the first drive in on the car today.! :Yahoo!: I would like to paint the shop before the weather goes South, and I need to get the car moved first. This weekend just got booked-up so I made a decision... I'll still have to lift it back up later to finish up some exhaust work, ...

Certain kinds of insanity are contagious... That is my story, I'm sticking to it! My better-half just bought another addition to the fendered-family, but this one has three wheels, rather than two or four... That's odd. I like spiders, I love those little jumper-spiders. We have a bunch of 'Ce...

Re: From backyard to Berettafest

That is a nice looking Beretta -I like it! Nice color, and the Z wheels really set it off nicely. What muffler did you go with? You said straight-pipe, but I can see a can hiding back there, unless you removed that later? Just my opinion on this one, coupled with a few facts -all the engines pollute...

Re: what did you do to your ride today?

Not Beretta work, but... Went over to a friend's house to help him build an exhaust for his old truck. Decided to drive the '89 RS Camaro... Maybe not a great idea. Turns out the tire that had a slow leak got a fast leak shortly after I aired it up -the valve-stem appears to be dry-rotting. So I swa...

Re: Finally...

Still plugging away at this thing, a little here and a little there. I'm trying not to rush this build, so I keep trading-off functional work with cosmetic, to keep it all going at a pace. I have managed to find a use for an old 2.4L Twin Cam IDI cover other than as an extension-cord and air-hose wa...

Re: LG5 Corsica hatch, coolant switch conundrum??

my fan kicks on when in diagnostic mode. And I can force it on electronically as I mentioned. I suppose my best inquiry would be into the internals of the 7730 ECM. possibly resistor shorts anyone's come across or internal connectivity issues. I've discounted my prom as an issue since, it's been re...

Re: NC road trip to pick up my pickup

I did not know about the high/low mode, thanks for sharing on that. Things that make you go, 'hmm.' :D I picked up a spare dist. at the junk-yard last week -it was just sitting loose, and looks to have been rebuilt recently -ICM looked clean and the cap was good quality with brass contacts -not sure...

Re: what did you do to your ride today?

I crossed 140k on the old '95 Z yesterday (woo-hoo! :Yahoo!: ). Not really that much -this is about the average mileage for my cars -we have a few in the family with a bit less and a few with a lot more -my 'old '88 Camaro has somewhere around that much (I lost track on the third instrument-cluster ...

Re: How bad is replacing the plug wires on a 96 z26?

Thanks! Also should I put some antiseize on the threads if i need to replace them again? And I've been meaning too, but I've been so busy with school and work, so I'll get around to it some day soon. And considering I'm pretty much a new driver, I dojt think I'm going to put 65k in 2 years. Thanks ...

Re: How bad is replacing the plug wires on a 96 z26?

Platinums are fine. Iridiums last longer, they don't work better. Unless you are planning on doubling your car's amazingly low mileage in the next two years (hmm, actually that wouldn't be hard, would it? :D ), the longer lasting is for mileage, NOT time -things simply degrade over time, and you don...

Re: How bad is replacing the plug wires on a 96 z26?

At 65k, the plugs are near or past their lifespan. At 22 years, hey, everything deteriorates with age. Corrosion can effect even the electrodes inside the engine. They are due. As for the wires, if they are original, they are as likely to come off in pieces as in one piece. They are good quality, bu...
