Re: Toro spark help

Interesting... The ground wire connects to the block on one side, the carb and starter on the other.

Re: Toro spark help

Unplugging that wire did give me spark. Does that mean my coil is bad?

Gotta look at next why it's not starting. I've cleaned out the carb, and everything looks good. Just wouldn't catch.

Re: Toro spark help

There is only one wore that connects, and it's a ground wire. There is zero spark, but I'll try unhooking that.

Though , that ground wire was cut and I spliced it back together when I started working on it.

"You wouldn't download a car?"

3D printing has allowed me to do just that, and I can buy all of the supplies off amazon. Does that make them a car dealer as well as a home goods vendor?

Re: Toro spark help

The flywheel coil only bolts/sits one way so I know that didn't change, and the coil itself has "cylinder side" stamped on it so that's correct as well. I was going to stop and get a brand new spark plug after work, but I had tried a car spark plug just to test for spark and couldn't see a...

Toro spark help

Since the murray tractor I bought this spring has had nothing but issues with the mower deck, I found a pair of toro tractors on Craigslist and grabbed them for $75. One was for "parts" and the other one had ran two weeks prior and just wouldn't start again. It turns over but there is no s...

Re: 54956 - Transmissions ahoy!

Z34 so it a 284 though right? Whats different between that and the 282 mount, and shift cable wise? I also can't justify $500 on a manual right now... Honestly yeah I'd love for it to be a manual but I don't know if I want to deal with swapping it, Or paying for it this winter. I'm not 100% sure. I...

54956 - Transmissions ahoy!

I have a couple nice deals in Wisconsin. First up I have a 4 speed auto transmission from a 90/91 TGP. 160k miles. Here is the thing, I bought it already separated from the motor so I have not had a way to verify it other than what the previous owner told me. (No problems, was just pulled with the t...

This summer I looked at trying to "merge" the two L body hoods together to get the prototype hood look. it would just require so much more effort than I can afford to give right now.

Re: 3800 GTP supercharged motor for my Z26

The 3500 already makes more HP than the W41 quad, and let's not forget about torque! I'd say if it's a V6, stick with a V6 for ease of install. Very little effort for much larger gains.

But it's your project, you should install what makes you the happiest.

Oh sure it will, it bolts right up! However no one specified that the hood had to close AND latch! :p

Re: Thoughts on Niagara Falls Bfest 2016

You do not need a passport to get into Canada unless you are flying in. There is however an ID card (kinda like a drivers license?) that people would need to get to drive across the border. I'm told its a bit easier and faster to get.

Oh how I wish my paint still looked like that in my Zed. A couple storms rolled through and kidnapped some clear coat on its way through.

I'm pretty sure Styluss just uses "taco night" as an excuse to hide fresh dead trout in unlocked cars! It's totally true!
