Re: Project: Slideways z26
Sucks you'll be short on time with the car. I'll surely be looking forward to updates, and especially the day you post a drift video of it...

Re: GTZryda's Black GTZ
Cars are supposed to be raked forward. lol Not necessarily... Rake towards the front helps with turn-in and rake towards the back helps with rear tire traction. So I guess in this case, the Beretta (or most FWD cars) make more sense raked forward. Although, I'm sure most people would notice a benef...

Re: Project: Slideways z26
Looks like there are plenty of solutions. Now that I see pics, I don't think the vette gear would help anyways. A roll cage would probably be a great way to get the shell stiffened up, don't know what your thoughts are on one of those.

Re: Project: Slideways z26
I forget who it was, but have you ever seen the attempted RWD Beretta conversion with the entire corvette floor structure and drivetrain? It was never finished, but I think he did get up to having the body on top of the vette lowers. Don't remember why he quit, but I know there were issues. Since yo...

Re: Project: Slideways z26
Wow, come a long ways since I was here last. Looking great, too. Should post some pics of the chopped up firewall. Hope you don't have too much trouble getting the car solid enough. After seeing how far you've come, it's hard not to run out to the garage and start chopping at the Z. The conversion h...

Re: Project: Slideways z26
Can't wait to see you get the engine mounted up with the trans. I've thought long and hard about a RWD conversion (still would love to do it.), and it involved a lot of cutting into the center tunnel for room for the transmission.
Get this thing done, a drift Beretta would be sick. We need videos.

Re: rear 3100 spark plugs
I've always just dug around back there without removing anything. It's really not all that bad. Easier then a lot of other FWD V6 cars. Some assorted extensions, plug socket and a ratchet is all I've ever needed with a Beretta. Oh, and a tool to check the plug gap.
Good luck!

I've run from the cops in my Beretta. Didn't land me on any TV shows though, cause I don't get caught... haha!
I've even chased down someone for the cops before, but forgot my video camera was in the back seat...

Re: The daily driver
Nice cav. I like that lip. Kind of wonder what it would look like upside down... Might have to try something like that with my cav. As for the gauges, good idea. Now if you could make some sort of pod for them so they are angled over a bit for easier viewing. Clean up the look a little too. Nice GTZ...

Re: Just Pulled Over A GTZ
That is a clean lookin car. Would rather see it with GTZ wheels, but still nice. Something went haywire in my headlight switch, so I am now able to drive with parking lights and fogs only. That's actually how I drive in town. Why do you need headlights with all the street lights, just need others to...

Dang, why so defensive? I'm sure he could have answered the question on his own. Maybe we'll get lucky and the owner will drop by and let us know on his own. Would like to see the restoration keep going on this car. A new dash would be my first move.

Re: Another "barn" find
That's cool to find that many cars with no miles, quite unfortunate that it's Neons though. A barn full of cavaliers would even trump that find. I can just imagine how that went when the person told a friend. Person 1 "I found a barn with 150, 0 mile cars!" Person 2 "That's amazing, w...
