Re: REPLACING SPEAKERS

There's nothing wrong with sharing, but it is the little things that count. From what I can see concerning the whole wattage/speaker/amps deal with ohms law, no one is fully right, nor are they fully wrong. In order of posts, I will try to correct what I see wrong. "8-10 ohm is fine with a stoc...

Re: New old school Pheonix Gold amp

The MS2250 is rated to do 1050 x 1 @ 4 ohms. That might be the one you're thinking of. The caps used then had issues. They don't last long and are prone to leaking. It's was a huge batch, so huge that the batch lasted for years. And sadly it took years to find that out. If an all has a leaking cap, ...

Re: New old school Pheonix Gold amp

A friend of mine, BigDwiz, has a youtube page, oldschoolstereo, and he benches a lot of amps. He might've benched one of these too. I know he did an MS275. Rated to do 300 x 1 @ 4 ohms, only did 280's.

Re: New here, saying hi

I'm used to things like that being in a certain spot, it never would've occurred to me for it to be at the top of every section. I see me in your binary code. I don't do facebook so no one here will get friended by me via facebook. Thanks for the welcomes and I'll be around as much as I can. Working...

Re: New here, saying hi

I wasn't offended at all. I consider my "home " to be the phoenix Phorum site and we don't tolerate near what other sites do. We're a pretty tight knit group. I'm not above ready the rules, just a time thing that's all. I've seen some of 3X00's replies in the manner like above, so I kinda ...

Re: New here, saying hi

I've done a bit of looking around for that, but the last week has been hectic at home and work. Hell, I'm even at work posting this right now. Now that you've made it easier for me by giving me the link I'll read it at next break.

Re: New here, saying hi

So, when I reply out says I have to wait for my post to be approved, how long/many posts do I have to have to just have my posts posted right away? I've made many replies but I have to wait. To further say who I am, just google my user name. You'll find I'm very active on a lot of car audio forums.

Re: subs and sterio set up!!

Not to be the new guy that pisses people off, but WTF was your thinking? The bass cancellation might not be to bad, but that can't sound very good at all. If you're happy with it, then so am I. After all it's you it has to please, not me or the others here. I've been into and doing car audio for 20 ...

Re: G.T.Z ohio

Looks to me that he had it wiped down/cleaned and that it's the flash reflection you see glaring giving the look of over spray. Personally, I saw nothing wrong around the fog light are. I will agree though that he's asking to much.

Re: New old school Pheonix Gold amp

Sorry to wake the dead, but for free...... Great grab. This amp IS NOT stable at 1 ohm bridged, nor do they recommend 2 ohm bridged. It'll do it for a while, but not recommended. It's stable (rated) to 2 ohms stereo, 4 ohms mono. THIS IS A MUST.............REPLACE all of the caps in that amp. They a...

Re: well...4 hours later, what do you think?

New here, first post.
I used to have a '90 Beretta base model w/the 3.1 manual, but anyway, I've been into car audio since '93. Personally, I think it looks good, but I would've put them in the corner HVAC vents. A friend of mine did that in his '91 GTZ and it sounded great. Talk about stealth.
