Re: How is this possible?!

Several days of driving, no repeat of the problem. Strange. Replaced the water pump as I had it on the shelf, but didn't see any sign of the old one leaking. Have to wait for the next fail...

Re: How is this possible?!

She was driving and kept driving. And after that she's driven it for 3 hours without the problem reappearing. Go figure

How is this possible?!

My wife drove the Beretta. She tells me it suddenly lost power to steering and the Check Engine Light came on. She drove on anyway fighting with the steering wheel (brave wife). Stopped to shop, when she came out all was fine again. It's back home now and works fine, I can't find anything wrong with...

Re: Beretta dies when trying to leave from idle, help needed

ifixalot (great name), if you could get it for me, I'd appreciate it. How much for having it sent to my friend in CA that ships to me?

Maybe pm me?

Re: Beretta dies when trying to leave from idle, help needed

Would anybody have access to a perhaps junked Beretta 3.1 or similar? I need the last bit of the wiring harness going to the injectors. It starts at the back of the engine over the valve covers, 4 wires, then it snakes in under the hat and is split into the 12 wires/6 injectors.

Appreciated

Re: Beretta dies when trying to leave from idle, help needed

"I'm very surprised GM did not Ohm check the injectors." Oh, but they did. But the mechanic told me in a sure voice that it didn't matter, it would just mean that the low ohm injector would open a split second earlier. I told him to try with only 5 wires attached. He never did. It's going ...

Re: Beretta dies when trying to leave from idle, help needed

Ha, think I found the error, one injector resistance was 4.5, the 5 others were 11.9-12.8. Assembled the engine with the low ohm injector not connected, and it now starts and runs fine on 5 cylinders. So, 6 new injectors, and hopefully that will be that!

Re: Beretta dies when trying to leave from idle, help needed

Here are 5 pictures of what the Tech 2 tells me, ignition on, engine off (since I can't get to run)

Do you see anything out of the ordinary?

Notice on top here the Engine speed that I talked about in previous post, and that the GM mechanic was an error
