Re: BMW lights

The set that we have is the same as the ones in BackLit's signature pic or in SnowBlind's pics labeled "Earlier set, plastic lensed eBay US Spec headlights." We got them from PartsGeek for $100 for the set and they look brand new.

Re: Resurrecting for my dad's car for my daughter.

If anyone hasn't figured it out already, if you have a 96 and you are upgrading to an older than 96 cluster, you need to take the wire from pin 9 on your ECM and pull it through the fire wall, into the engine compartment. Next, look for the 6 pin connector on your your coil packs. This is your ICM ...

Re: Resurrecting for my dad's car for my daughter.

I'm just trying to help clarify. The correct oil pressure sending unit will be longer that the one on the car now. If you go to buy one, they will ask if you have a light or a gauge. The one for the light acts like a switch, "on or off". The one for the gauge acts a variable resister to d...

Re: Resurrecting for my dad's car for my daughter.

Okay, I think there's been some confusion about my situation. The car is a 96 base Beretta with a 3.1, automatic, and yes daytime running lights. The gauge cluster I put in is from a 95 Z26 with a 3.1 and automatic. The tach doesn't work at all, the oil pressure gauge goes to max and stays there, an...

Welcome!
Thanks for the advice but,... what does that mean exactly? I've never done anything like this, so I don't know what IPC and OPSU mean.

Re: Resurrecting for my dad's car for my daughter.

First off, thanks for the quick replies. Mixer: The cluster I found is out of a 95 Z26 with the 3.1 and automatic. (Same as the Beretta we have except Z26 and 95) How do I know if it's for the 1.5 computer? Zcylex: What does "lirc" mean? And if I change sending units, won't that cause prob...

Re: BerettaFest specifics

Is there any kind of mailing list, or notification system for when the details are finalized?

Re: new guy from missouri

We live in Columbia. Previously from Centralia. We're basically rebuilding my dad's old Beretta for my daughter's first car. I notice it's been a while since anybody's posted to this thread. Is there anyone from Missouri still around?

Re: double din

We are going to try this on my daughter's 96 in the future. I'm thinking of enlarging the opening towards the vent and redirecting the vent through small openings on either side. This project is a little ways off though. Any advice would be appreciated. We are basically restoring this car for her.

We're trying this on my daughter's car. The new headlights just arrived today. Any advice would be welcome as this is our first mod on this car.

Resurrecting my dad's car for my daughter.

Okay. I wasn't sure where to post this so I thought this might be the best place. I thought I'd include the story about why this particular Beretta is special, so this might be a little long-winded. My father bought this Beretta new in 95 for my step mother. They had searched around and decided what...
