Re: Timing controllers without the price of "Stand Alone?"

Remove schrader, its a 4an fitting IIRC... That's where I've been tapped from for a long time. I have a T fitting on this photo because I also was going to run my fuel pressure gauge off it eventually. http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh201/3400modified/Pinky%20Parts/IMG_1742.jpg The direct port ...

Re: Timing controllers without the price of "Stand Alone?"

My old Cobra I tapped the valve and would like to do the same with the Beretta.

Re: Timing controllers without the price of "Stand Alone?"

Ok. Nitrous is easier. Just take the timing out on power enrichment mode then, which is triggered at WOT or close to it. For the fogger, couldn't you tee off the supply line and dead head another line at the psi you need? How much pressure does the fogger require? Carb plates are usually like 5psi ...

Re: Timing controllers without the price of "Stand Alone?"

which 3.1 do you have? '92 Beretta Sounds like you plan on boost? The timing table on these cars rpm vs map, so you can dial in whatever you need. Assuming your car is a 7730 ecm you can convert to the code $59 mask. It's an open source project similar to mega squirt, but you can keep all the stock...

Re: Timing controllers without the price of "Stand Alone?"

Modifying the stock fpr is the cheapest option that wouldn't cause a frankenstein fuel system. Cleanly cut the top steel hat followed up with a fine cleaning of any contaminants. Put in place a fuel safe spacer to act as your adjustable fuel pressure plunger. Create new hat for fpr. Carefully weld ...

Re: Timing controllers without the price of "Stand Alone?"

It's pretty wide open... You can make the timing table be whatever you want, it's not just a reduced or addition to the base. In all honesty except for specific add on item controls the base ecu software is very capable and I would only see the benefits of stand alone if you had a very custom or he...

Re: Timing controllers without the price of "Stand Alone?"

Unfortunately the only way other than standalone is to buy tuning equipment for you make and model and modify the original chip. Moates.net has the best hardware choices out there. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk I figured, I plan on ordering the burner soon. Just weighing options. I have a bi...

Timing controllers without the price of "Stand Alone?"

Need a way to pull timing from the 3.1. Doing all my research and planning before hand as I usually do and forget these are DIS until I worked on it. Any methods or products to simply pull a few degrees without having to go MS or MSD stand alones? Have not found anything just yet specifically for GM...

Re: List of 3400 Manifolds and heads?

The best option for you would be a full 3400 Smith engine swap. "3.4" was used in rwd camaro applications and isn't really a worthwhile swap option. You can wiki the 3400 SFI engine to see what applications it was used in because it's quite broad. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk Than...

List of 3400 Manifolds and heads?

Been searching hours these past few days. Plenty of articles about manifold and head swaps from the 3400 and not the 3.4 but no concrete list of vehicles to source them from nor the parts from either vehicle that need saving. Anyone have a list or mind starting off? Searched and searched but everyon...

Re: Pro King 3t40 Converters

Not entirely sure of that brand. If I were to assume, they are a reman stock unit. The one I have is for a 4t45e and was a new PDQ unit restalled to my 45e needs. Basically, expect to rework just about all t-converters to meet your stall speed requirements. Now mine sits on a shelf. lol Expensive p...

Pro King 3t40 Converters

Has anyone used these converters? Noticed when browsing the catalog at work. Noticed 4 different stalls and also says to not use with ECCC. Curious if anyone has run these. http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/search.oap?keyword=torque+converter&year=1992&make=Chevrolet&model=Beretta&vi...

Re: New member, the $200 Beretta.

Body looks pretty solid but if it was sitting on open ground, I wonder how much rust in on fuel and brake lines. Or are you in a dry climate. Base interior is all dry rotted from the sun. Yeah there is a lot of gross junk in that car. But for $200 if it runs and moves, not bad. Rich exhaust? I'm no...
