Re: What (scan) tools do you use?

So just the obd1 cable to usb/something similar is enough for datalogging? What sw I need? What kind of things can be programmed in these ecus? For just the cable I'm not sure. With the full APU1 the ECM can be programmed. Spark and fuel tables, fan cycle settings, etc. This uses Tuner Pro RT softw...

Re: What (scan) tools do you use?

Yah my APU1 also can emulate and read/write rom files to the chips.
I forgot there is probably a lesser expensive version that can read codes and data log without the chip stuff but I never looked into those.

Re: What (scan) tools do you use?

I used the "APU1" from moates.net with tuner pro and logging files for my OBD1 GM cars. Works with laptop over USB. I used the "Blue Driver" for all 1996 and up OBD2 and newer cars. Work with my android phone over Bluetooth. Can do a very large range of functions and tests and cl...

Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: The Derretta, 1994 base with some attitude.

Are you positive the new ECM is good? Can't find any issues with the wiring? Jon mentioned on Facebook that it may be a corrupt tune file that's killing the ECM's, it makes sense. I put the tune in the new ECM, then can't connect anymore... I ordered another ECM, I should be seeing it in a week. I ...

Does that little spring go in series with the big spring? O_o
I feel like that little spring would be flattened if that's the case.

I wonder if every car bought on loan is given a repo box.

Or do they only get the box after the first repossession?

Re: Battery drain

I didn't think there was a relay for the accessory stuff, I thought it came directly from the switch on the steering column. I wonder if the switch is bad causing some things to stay on? Has anyone ever dome wiring behind the radio or under the dash? I wonder if someone "Fixed" something a...

Re: The 2018 Beretta.Net Calendar Is Here!

I'm sorry to hear that GT. This is the first time we've used this website for the calendars. Hopefully you got a one off negative scenario. I think its just a 1 off thing. I believe that USPS is to blame but unfortunately there is no way to find who abused the package along the way. The supplier wa...

Re: The 2018 Beretta.Net Calendar Is Here!

Follow up post, Disappointed in the senders packaging quality, the post office delivered the package and it was soaked in water. Calanders had no plastic protection against water and they are damaged. Its like USPS stored the package in water... To top it off, the USPS also tried to fold the package...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain

I agree it's too cold to be working on cars in this weather. Need a heated garage.

I'm interested to know how the leak is. I know a water leak in this weather causes the floor to become blocks of ice in these cars.

Re: Ceramic vs semi metallic, does ceramic get hotter?

Finally snowed over here. Temps are 20'F and colder. Cold start and go after defrosting my windows and brakes are fine. No issues at all with the ceramics. Tested my ABS as well in my side street with nobody around and the brakes works great with it. I think its safe to say the ceramic pads are work...
