Re: Battery drain

Are your fog lights still on after turning the car off?
That happened to us in the past, the relay somehow welded itself in the on position.
Interior lights also turn off after the timer ends do they stay on?

Re: Beretta.net Vinyl cutter!

Yah I'm not into the IT stuff so I wouldn't know the compatibility. So far this is the only one I have been able to find: https://www.avalara.com/small-business/avatax/?sessionId=1512677786534&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bing.com%2Fsearch%3Fq%3Dsmall%2Bbusiness%2Bonline%2Bsales%2Btax%2Bsoftware%2...

Re: Ceramic vs semi metallic, does ceramic get hotter?

Yah moving on its hard to let go of what you already have. I'll keep you posted. Still waiting on snow. I remember 20 years ago it was at 0'F and several feet of snow in November. And some snow in october. But last year is never snowed until december 23. Hopefully it starts snowing. I love the snow....

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain

The crank sensor was just a thought. Oh man the torque that they have is nice, sure miss that low end power now that I have the 3100. Did you locate the test lead? Yah these 3.1 engines always like they have better response than the 3100 version. The Gen3 should have higher up and torque though. Ma...

Re: Ceramic vs semi metallic, does ceramic get hotter?

Yah its over 10 owners for sure. I forgot the exact number. Maybe 14 including me? Car has been fine still. No issues at all. I guess it was just imagined, brakes are still fine. I'm just still amazed that this car was kept this clean through all those owners. I'll probably keep the sunburd and 2 of...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain

The alternator might need to come off for space. The throttle body has 2 coolant lines but you can unbolt the TB from the plenum so you don't need to open the coolant lines. Then vacuum lines and the throttle bracket and it comes off. Just be careful of the PCV hose under the plenum. It may be britt...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain

There is a fuel pump relay that controls the fuel pump. When it clicks on, the pump runs for 3 seconds. When its off then the oil pressure circuit is what runs the pump. Its a flip flop with 2 different run conditions. You have the 3.1 MPFI engine? One of the relays on the firewall is fuel pump. I f...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain

Yah. You have a pump prime timer and then a delay timer between pump primes if you keep cycling the key. I forgot how its done. But waiting a little bit and it will prime again with a key cycle. If it starts when you crank immediately that's good. But if it has a long start after you turn to run the...

Re: Beretta.net Vinyl cutter!

Yah I know its a lot of work. Supposedly the software is supposed to do it automatically and update everything on its own from what I have read. But depending on the upfront cost and annual subscription costs, it could cost more than what is made through sales. I was hoping it could be helpful but I...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain

Yah that little person with seat belt says "you gotta wear a seat belt." 2 wires in the driver side belt latch that triggers it, connection closes when seat belt is used. If it doesn't then its either unplugged or has a broken wire somewhere. There is at least one plug on the floor by the ...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain

Did you ever check the fuel pressure was charging and holding correctly? I don't remember. lol
If the other car has a bit of erratic idle from the IAC that was swapped in, it sounds like it was part of the problem.

Re: Ceramic vs semi metallic, does ceramic get hotter?

Yah brake fluid is probably the most neglected thing on vehicles. And its the most important. lol

My sunbird had over 10 owners before me and I think it was 125k ish miles when I got it, and none of them ever did the trans fluid and filter. I doubt they did the brake fluid. LOL.
