Re: Dyno simulator
Bore is 89mm stroke is 88mm. TB size is going to be 56mm. I can't find the cfm at the specified lift apparently and I wouldn't know how to try and calculate something like that.

Re: Dyno simulator
Okay let's see if I got everything that's needed (probably not). The stock CFM is 233, CR would be 10.5:1. The cam timing would be 0 as I haven't gotten that far in the process. And here are my can specs : Duration @ .050" : 206*/206* Lobe Seperation Angle: 112* Lobe lift: .313"/.313"...

Re: Dyno simulator
Do you know of any resources that might have those numbers for a stock 2.2? Best I have for you now is the CR I'm shooting, cam specs and the fact I plan on running no cat and 2.25" exhaust.

Re: 2.2 Manual Engine Swap
I'm still taking it apart and getting everything cleaned and I'm not sure what it does on a stock tune most of the examples I've seen have an increase in the redline but I'm not sure which ones had tunes and which ones didn't. Hopefully when I get further along I can give you a better answer.

Dyno simulator
Hey just wondering if any of you have access to a dyno simulator. I'm trying to get a rough idea of what type of power I can squeeze from the Corsica with my planned mods I'm looking to shoot somewhere in the 200s.

Re: 2.2 Manual Engine Swap
Or you can run a high compression build like I'm trying. JBO has alot of info if you can stomach having to dig for it. But a 1.6 roller rocker conversion, pistons from a 98+ cavalier, full exhaust and a custom cam would probably get you where you want to be at. Oh and obviously a tune.

Re: Corsica z22
So tiny update. Finally had the time to get the head out so I can get it cleaned and checked over. I want to port it my self but am nervous that I might botch it. I've watched a few YouTube videos and it looks more time consuming than difficult so well see.

Re: 3400/3500 top swap
I was just thinking about the LIMG as its about time to change it (got it with 123k and it just rolled 140). As for now the 4 cylinder will do as far as learning how to build an engine then if/when that blows up I'm considering a turbo eco swap.

Re: 3400/3500 top swap
Yeah I'm starting to think maybe just a turbo. I'm seeing people do it but no one is posting results. A friend mentioned the obvious 3800 S/C swap but for the money, and the few additional bolt ons that I would do, I could make the same power with a turbo.

3400/3500 top swap
Hey guys, I'm trying to find info for a 34/3500 top swap. Im sticking with my 2.2 build but my wife sometimes complains about a lack of power in our 03 impala. I did some digging on good ol JBO and found that is has been done but I dont see specifics as to what I would need. So far all I know is I n...

Re: My Beretta's! :)
I would think not much. For example a 2.2 cavalier motor would work in a s10 ( assuming they are in the same generation to null design changes) I'd assume the same would apply but I dont know for sure I'm spit ballin.

Re: My Beretta's! :)
It'd be sweet to see a LNF swap I've mentioned it before but no one is sure how possible it is.

Re: Corsica z22
Life is getting in the way but I've been able to stock a few parts. I have the valve springs and the 1.6 rr. I promise I haven't given up.

Re: Not another 2.2 build
EBay has an OBX header for 95-97 there's also a cheap mild carbon one which I plan in getting I don't mind having to cut and weld a bit if it doesn't bolt perfectly.MY91GT(Z) wrote:Where can 2.2 header be found for our car
