Your converter may be going out. Don't know for sure. But you can try a stall test. On the street in a safe place, put your brake pedal down and the gas at the same time. If the rpm goes up but the car doesn't try to move it is the converter. At least that's how you test a rwd. The 4th gear is not a...

89' 2.8 Won't Start, No Power

docrodg is right, in my old V8 days we would tap the solenoid with a rod or hammer. I had a 83 Camaro that would not start 10 min after it was shut off. One hour later it would start because the solenoid had went back all the way and was no longer drawing off the battery. Also agree with the wires,i...

Oil Pressure

Thanks for the offer, right now everthing is still in the air. I hate to give up on this engine, I've put alot of money in it just to get it to run the way it does now. Rebuild or 3400 it's too soon to make any solid plans.

Oil Pressure

On my car I had the oil pump drive go out, this led to low pressure. It is on the back of the engine where the distributor would be if it wasn't a crank trigger. The drive runs off the cam and then a rod runs the oil pump. It may be too late for this info, so it's FYI.

spoiler interchange

I have a 90 GT , the spoiler is cracked in half. GM no longer stocks anything for my year. Are there other years that look the same? I want a good gasket and am unsure of aftermarket or junkyard stuff. At this time it doesn't leak into the trunk, but the spoiler fills up. If I have to do aftermarket...
