Get a volt meter and check your charging system... to be sure its NOT putting out that much, if it is the regulator in the alternator is shot and I'm suprised your not having more issues. Just measure the voltage at the battery posts when its running that will work, or one to ground and one right of...

91-95 fits in 91-95 any year to any year... Its just the 96 OBDII thats specific to a 96 setup... HOWEVER a 91-95 cluster can be put in a 96 OBDII car if you rewire the tach signal.

yeah I launch off of the break because most of my wheel spin comes from a idle start... kinda odd...  Then again I could just have wheel spin all around now with this new motor and 3k stall converter.

I got 215k on a stock chain and IIRC it was perfectly fine when I pulled it, ever so slightly stretched but nothing major.
