Re: Gen2 to Gen3 swap front engine mount?

Yeah there is about a 3/4" to 1" difference in distance spacing on the 5-speed mounts vs the Auto. And any 4t60e equipped car would not need this mount since it would be a 94+ chassis.

Re: Gen2 to Gen3 swap front engine mount?

We have the mount instructions on the forum... The difference should only be Manual to Auto... I think maybe the only difference for AC is to drill a hole and weld a nut on the back so the bracket can bolt up again, but I'm not sure.

Re: Hmmmmnnnn...

Fiero engine swaps I remember seeing online: 3800 SC's, 3.4's, LS's, HT4100's and I believe someone had a carbed small block. So I wonder what the fiero guys are using for transmissions on their v8 and higher hp swaps. a Blessed 282? LOL Glad to see you still have the car Nocutt... It would be sad ...

Re: Taking a Beretta shell and building a chassis

There are two V8 RWD swaps that are currently going on right now... One was dropping a beretta body onto a F-body floor and unibody setup. That is quite far along and is in need of some wide fender flares to fit the wheels... Another one is swapping in the torque tube drive line setup from a Corvett...

Best tool I've ever bought... Perfect flares every time and so many options.

This hasn't been updated in 2 years by the OP and he hasn't even been on the forum in over a year... My guess is it's dead and did not ever get completed...

Re: Getrag shift cables

I'm happy to see this much movement and talk on shift cables. It has been a long time that users have been complaining about this and to potentially have a solution in the works is awesome.

Re: heater core

Definitely plan on replacing the core soon. The plastic design is original and very poor. The new cores will have full metal outlets and tanks.

Pulling the line off again to put that tube in may just flex it more and break it when you're trying to prevent that.

Re: Getrag shift cables

I agree, Getting 300 pairs to sell would be quite difficult with the group we have now. It would be nice to see you make it out to Bfest as well just so you could see what our group is about and maybe get a better understanding of these cars and the cables people are asking for. If people really wan...

Re: 3400 Swap guide...

And the motor mount instructions for a 3400 in a pre 91 car. This is for a manual car swap... If you want to build this for the Auto you can probably just shim the back of the mount some to push the engine back... I'd start by comparing the two factory mounts to see what the difference is.

Re: Beretta fest

We don't normally seek out a pet friendly location due to the fact that will really restrict our options in some areas. So yeah unfortunately just like me I have to send my pup off to my parents house for the week and a half I'll be gone. And luckily my wife works in the RI school system... they wil...

That's what I meant, a constant amount, not %... I don't know why I put that in there.

Re: wrong speed displaed on speedometer GTZ 1992

Is it a constant % off? If so then it could be just the needle has moved and isn't pointing to real zero.

Re: -89 GTU headliner fabric color "code"

I don't know if they actually had color codes on the interior. Typically when doing carpet and such, the best thing is to ask for a sample swatch and match that up to what's in the car now.
