Re: Project 91 "SS" 3400/5spd

Mine will be very similar to that, but with a bolt, nut & jam nut for adjustment. I also have the 1/4" piece I made to channel air into the radiator differently the the factory duct work that adds support. That, without any additional bracing, kept my 95Z in line and feeds the CAI. http://m...

I did see your pic somewhere. I will be making mine adjustable so I can fine-tune it if needed. Yours kinda frowns instead of smiling!

Oh they will be black, dont you worry. But I will not be removing them. I'm actually going to reinforce them and make them permanent. No smiley SS!

Re: Beretta Turbo Updates

Holy crap those slicks are short. They give you quite a bit more gear that way, too.

Hood looks awesome, I really like it. Details? I've got a welder! haha

Re: Is There Anything I Can Do???

I dont know what you have now, but to my eyes a GTZ or GTU ground effects package looks much better than a standard Beretta. But I will say that a standard Beretta with the right set of wheels also looks really good. Wheels are probably the easiest thing you can do for a big impact on looks.

Re: Project 91 "SS" 3400/5spd

Got some pics. Bought my JB Weld today for the spoiler and forgot to bring it to the garage. Whoops. But I did get all the urethane done. Just needs a 400 scuff. The 3M urethane filler is crazy expensive, $52 for what little I got, but it does work great. http://media.motortopia.com/files/cars/album...

Re: New bests THROUGH THE MUFFLERS! AND CAI thoughts

I got mine directly from S&S.

I read somewhere that you can use the OEM ones if you cut clearance in the heat shields. I opted not to and contacted S&S for their replacement gaskets.

Re: New bests THROUGH THE MUFFLERS! AND CAI thoughts

An automatic is no doubt a much better car for bracket racing. Maybe even for drag racing in general, it's definitely easier on the drivetrain. I just cant stand how boring it is to drive that way. crap, even Tiff's Sube is more interesting to drive on a daily basis than my Z26 was. And with a manua...

Re: 400hp is a bit more fun than 160

The car was born in 1980, but it has GM parts from 79-04... plus the aftermarket stuff. haha

Been driving it every day since Saturday until today. It was raining like bastard this morning, which doesnt work well with drag radials, wiper delete and heater core delete. So it was the stupid Scoobie.

Re: Project 91 "SS" 3400/5spd

David95Z26? Whatever, doesnt matter. I have a fork in my possession, and a brand new one on the way from the dealer in MO.

I do need to push that POS Buick out of the garage though, and lots if it is bare metal now. So dad is pissy about moving it outside. haha

Ok I chopped the dual and don't really like it. Definitely like the single better.

Re: Project 91 "SS" 3400/5spd

Ok, so of course I get an email from the kid with the Z24 this morning and he has an extra fork and is bringing it to the cruise-in meet tonight.

It won't hurt to have a spare though. Two is better than none.

Re: Howdy all - Updated July 12th!

Are you sure it's the PS pump? Because the AC clutch will make a loud, annoying "grinding" noise and it's very common.
