Re: V8 RWD Beretta

Yeah, it was definitely set up as a basic drag car. The unibody is pretty much just sitting on top of an S-10 frame. Should go in a straight line pretty good, but it definitely won't handle like a Beretta would.

Re: V8 RWD Beretta

Hmm... where exactly is this? If it actually runs mid-12's with that mediocre rear diff setup, I'd give him a couple grand for it. It's on treaded tires and leaf springs - slicks and a 4-link could put it into the 11's. Would be a pain to get it NHRA certified though - no cage and a frankenstein cha...

Re: 1990 Yellow Indy 5 speed... needs a REALLY good bath.

When scrap was up over $350 a ton, I did see a few cars go to the yard for over a grand, yes. Steel is heavy and expensive to move, so its price can vary wildly from one region of the country to the next. From Pennsylvania to the midwest where there's a lot more steel processors, demand and price ar...

Re: 1990 Yellow Indy 5 speed... needs a REALLY good bath.

I got $600 for a base I scrapped a couple years ago, and scrap prices weren't much higher then than they are now. I can't imagine why we can't find these cars anymore. Here's a guy trying to keep a car out of the crusher - one of the most rare pieces in this group - and he's either offered less than...

Re: pre mix paint

I know a couple guys that have used it on drag cars and it looks great at first. Lacquer looks good, polishes out well, and shoots easy...and looks like absolute trash in a year or two. The guys with it on their dragsters still look OK, but those cars are never outside other than being at the track....

Re: Any old members still here?

Bought the first Beretta in 99, been lurking around here since 01. I didn't even know what an online forum was, just noticed that there was some kind of meet in Milwaukee, an hour from my house. Went, met Cack, Rex, Aaron Choate, etc...and haven't been able to shake this crazy addiction to these car...

Huge pet peeve of mine when people are trying to sell cars. How lazy do you have to be to not look at the back of your own damn car and know how to spell it???

Re: Feeler 1988 Pro-Street Beretta

A professionally built, tube chassis car that would run 9's all day long, and people are more worried about the grille than anything. %) Just, wow. Not even sure how to respond to that. Anyway, has the chassis ever been NHRA/IHRA certified that you are aware of? There should be a decal somewhere rig...

Re: LVD FLOODED

Maybe they'll just let slow cars like Berettas run! Or Camaros, they don't need the whole track anyways... :burn: Sometimes they only use about 2 inches of it and get pushed back off... Oh good, I'm not the only Camaro that's done that. GLD got a little overzealous with prepping the track once, and...

I realize I'm quite a bit behind, but Congrats Mike and Amanda! Yeah Crystal wanted a Montana too, unitl I saw a couple wrecked in the yards. Not buying her one of those. We'll probably get and Astro too eventually, I need something that can haul more than the Monte Carlo. How much can the 4.3 astro...
