Re: 1988 Beretta misfire when cold and random acceleration

As long as the egr functions properly when the engine runs I wouldnt bother with it. But there should be a return on it so it closes when not under demand. You have the round vacuum controlled eye right? You can move it by hand and see if its still spring loaded, if so its probably fine. No need to ...

Re: Hmmmmnnnn...

With a Northstar like that in a Beretta I'd make the alternator fit then look for an electric version of the AC, water pump, and power steering if I really wanted it to work. But thats a tight fit. I know the Northstar is large. I used to have an Eldorado. They are great engines but they have their ...

Re: Hmmmmnnnn...

http://i.ebayimg.com/images/i/251792172163-0-1/s-l1000.jpg I was reading about fiero v8 swaps again because this got me interested. I wonder if a 350 and 5 speed fiero build would fit in a Beretta. Maybe let the carb stick through the hood and do a ram air scoop turned 90 degrees to work like the rw...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain (nowadays problem with IAC valve)

Damn good info there! Going to start looking for a 1227727 as soon as I can. It has its own pinnout and harness/plugs so be prepared to rewire that part of your harness if you wanted to use a 1227727 box. lol. I'm also not sure if it will fit in the space under our Beretta dashs. There is an excel ...

Re: 1988 Beretta misfire when cold and random acceleration

On the 88 beretta the whole plastic bezel has 2 screws on the bottom in the back. Then it comes off. Then there are 4 screws that hold tge radio and climate control on; 1 screw on each front corner; bottom screws are ventricle. There should be a constant 12 volt wire for radio memory and a switched ...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain (nowadays problem with IAC valve)

Glad to hear that it is running well! Makes me think my girlfriends car could use a new computer. Been fighting with it for a long time now. I worked with one of the guys who worked at the facility where they made our OBD1 computers. It was like a blast from the past for him when I met him. He trie...

Re: 1989 V6 Digital dash 5 Speed VIN number

I wont be at Bfest but my Indy is a 3.1 auto with digital dash as well. Send me a PM if you need any BIN or xdf files. I didnt mention it because it isnt a 5 speed but if you can make it work on a 5 speed that can work too. I also have a copy of the 1990 TGP eeprom on my hard drive among other misc ...

Re: 1988 Beretta misfire when cold and random acceleration

Great looking car! :) Ideally you should get an OBD1 scanner and adjust the tps so it reads above 0% then turn it back till it read zero percent. This way its not too far one way or the other. At leat thats how I've always done it. Never had issues. If you dont have a scanner to read tps position yo...

Re: Touch up paint for my white GTZ

Thats good to know.
I'm just now getting I to paints and I'm starting from scratch.
I got an etching primer for the two small spots where it flaked down to the existing primer.

Re: 1989 V6 Digital dash 5 Speed VIN number

Personally I dont think the OEM chip would be any better than Bens chips. If you had a data logger Ben might be able to tune the chip for your application. You would have to ask him. An APU1 Auto Prom from Moates.net will allow you to program your own chips and do your own data logging. It works wit...

Re: 1989 V6 Digital dash 5 Speed VIN number

WOT-Tech can make a chip if your missing one: https://wot-tech.com/87-93-2-8/3-1-beretta-/-corsica-performance-chip.html They have boxes where you can select year, engine, trans, digital/analog dash, egr, thermostat. I got my chip from them and it worked great when I did one of my 3.1 and 5 speed sw...

Re: My Beretta's! :)

I think the bigest thing would be the engine harness and computer to interface with the stock gauges.
Engine mounts can always be welded and axles can always be machined.

Touch up paint for my white GTZ

My white 1990 Beretta GTZ I am looking for touch up paint. My sticker says: BASE/CLEAR COAT-ENAM WA-L8554 U8554 82G I tried NAPA and they cannot find it, the chevy dealer said they do not cary it anymore. If someone knows where I can find it I need to buy some. I have 2 small spots that need touched...
