Re: 1989 2.8 Corsica Horrible Idle/Stalling Code 33
Hmm, my corsica started running like that exactly when i unplugged MAP-sensor. I got -93 model with 3.1, but base is same. I would check the wiring. Also did you already just pop the battery out and reset the ecu? You never know whats causing the craziness... Btw: That interior looks so good... i ho...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain (nowadays problem with IAC valve)
Yeah... Autumn pushing up in these weeks. Seems like my daily driver corsica has developed slight misfire again during few last weeks. When idling i hear constant popping from tailpipe every now and then. No smell of gas tho. Its also really slight, idle feels bit erratic while sitting inside. While...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain (nowadays problem with IAC valve)
Yeah took the dash out today. In case someones heading to same operation: One nut at both sides, other near glove box and the other near fuse panel. Four screws just near windshield wheres the blower grill. Two nuts inside dash. Things to be taken away; Radio AC-panel Steering wheel, unbolt if from t...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain (nowadays problem with IAC valve)
Okey, gonna check those numbers also... Meanwhile, had to replace my corsicas heater core. What a pita! Not disassembly, but putting it back together arrgh. Succeeded in everything, except the last box containing heat passages. Spent around 3hrs trying to get it on place properly. Cannot still get t...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain (nowadays problem with IAC valve)
Hoping that the ICM solves the problem. Same, there is also the possibility the CPS is defective out of the box, I've encountered that before which is horrible because a new CPS is hard to pull out once its tightened down. Yup. ICM was it. Swapped the spare one and had crank signal. However, crank ...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain (nowadays problem with IAC valve)
Ok, still not starting. No crank on the tach meter (its not jumping while cranking the car, as its supposed to do). Checked crankshaft position sensor voltage while cranking, 0.2-0-5v coming to the icm while cranking. 12v coming to icms power input connector. So icm is getting everything it needs. I...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain (nowadays problem with IAC valve)
Crank sensor replaced. Quite a pita. If someones heading to the operation: take look from under the car to see where the sensor itself is located. Then hit up the sensor from above the car. Screw is 8mm. Sensor came out without pain, as the new one also went to its place. Both sensors had ohms aroun...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain (nowadays problem with IAC valve)
Update:
Firewall sanded, painted and sealed. Put back steering rack, brake booster and blower motor housing. Looks good so far.
Gonna hit up that sensor tomorrow, lets see what kind of show it is to replace that...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain (nowadays problem with IAC valve)
It is a normal start, but when it does fire off it is like it has lost a cylinder or two. Just bought a GM sensor and put it in. That day it ran fine, then sat for a day and on Monday it would not start. Put the old one(BWD) back in and it still would not start. What's the problem? All I can say is...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain (nowadays problem with IAC valve)
Bapsu I dream of having two weeks without a problem. Do you have a nonGM crank sensor in your car? Really thinking that is my problem. Getting to the point where it is hard to drive. Funny thing is the sputter starts are not so bad. Those GM coils did something. Well this weekend will be the crank ...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain (nowadays problem with IAC valve)
Bapsu hope you find out what the problem is soon. My cars seems to do the same. Cold starts are great and it runs fine all the way to work. Starting at work is the same. If I go to the store it will then sputter start, running fine after that. Until this week, now on the way home it cuts out when t...

Re: Clunking around passenger side when making right turn
You guys ever had issues with the steering wheel having slight shaking on hwy speeds? Mine seem to be shaking a little (Corsica), tires should be balanced etc. so I am focusing on the car itself for now... just dont know where to start.
I got 2 Corsicas, both have same kind of behaviour.

Re: 1988 Beretta misfire when cold and random acceleration
Hello. I might try to swap the digital clusters out, just to see if its the whole thing thats broken, or if just the mileage display is broken. Since i just replaced all the bulbs i am very sure that its an hardware issue. I will look into the datalogger cable from Moates.net a bit more, i might gi...

Re: 1988 Beretta misfire when cold and random acceleration
Do you guys have had any problems with the engine while its idling i can almost always feel little shaking or stumbling on the streering wheel and seat? It is really slight, but its unstable, not like normal idling vibrations coming from engine.
