Re: 1988 Beretta GT Rough idle when "cold"
Good idea but my Home Depot doesn't seem to have 3" abs pipe.
I'll have to look around. I didn't even see any short lengths on evil bay.

Re: 1988 Beretta GT Rough idle when "cold"
I found this thread while looking for an answer to my 88's code 23. I bought a spare MAF and put it on. Every now and then I get code 23. Now I see, I have a sticker that says my car has been updated to speed sensor. I still have the MAF on it. I have no separate IAT so I assume maybe the replacemen...

Re: Need help trouble shooting
I have changed fuel tanks and pumps on most all of my cars. I have never encountered sediment in the bottom of any fuel tank. In addition, there is a sock on the end of the pump that filters the fuel before it enters the pump. I doubt the fuel filter is plugged up. Perhaps they just put a couple gal...

Man, that looks like it was a lot of work but worth it.
How big is your shop? How did you get those trans-axles up there?

Re: what did you do to your ride today?
Sorry you decided to let the Z go, after all the work you put into it lately, I had hoped you would change your mind and keep it, but it sounds like it will still have a good home. I love the color of your '88, is that one of the factory shades? My '90 'Retta is the slightly green-tinged Marina (ac...

Re: what did you do to your ride today?
It's in a better place where it won't rust away.
Got news tires on the 88.
Found stainless exhaust tips at Autozone. I hope they don't fall off.

I think this is for a 96. Look carefully at the pics. Let me know if you need a pic of anything to be sure.

Re: what did you do to your ride today?
Yes, I am Leary of people on CL. I've posted that we meet at the police station and if they want the car, we go right over to the currency exchange and they get the paperwork started. I've pulled the post because of the brake-line. When I sold my daughter's car, a black guy bought it. He came to my ...

Re: what did you do to your ride today?
I posted the running driving 96 For sale on Craigslist for $700 after fixing the frame support and control arm. I told people it's getting rusty and who knows how long it will last. I got 10 responses from people who seem very interested. I began to wonder if the scammers have a new trick up there s...

Re: what did you do to your ride today?
Couple weeks ago I saw the driver's side frame section was terrible. So I sought a good used one and ordered other parts for the swap. I put those in yesterday and the car dives fine so I guess the alignment isn't off by too much. I did have a big problem with new control arm that I got from RA. The...

Congrats on your new aquire. That's a funky looking little car. I've seen those and I like em.
I hope you get all the problems sorted out and I hope they are not too complex. You know though,
like me you have too many cars. We both need help!

Fuel tank, lines and exhaust system were sooooo rusty.
Rear brake lines were shot too.
All are new now.

Re: 12 Year Old Valve Job Still Good?
Unless the garage has a lot of moisture in it, I'd say if they still look good, they would be OK.
I pulled a running engine from a car I scraped. It sat in my unheated garage for years, probably
about 7-8 years. I put it in another car and it runs fine to this day.
