Caution with Rock Auto Closeouts
I love Rock Auto. The growing number of magnets on our refrigerator proves it. Often, I receive emails from RA about "closeout" items that they are offering at fantastic prices. I have even posted links to the Beretta list of closeout items. RA claims that these are wholesaler inventories ...

Re: My beretta issues thread.
Welcome to the world of owning a 23 year old car. Sounds like you are well on your way. At least parts are still readily available for our cars. Keep us posted.

Re: My beretta issues thread.
Not idling well until warmed up sounds more like an O2 issue. It's doing shitty in closed loop (cold) and once it hits open loop, it's clearing up. I would bet on an O2 sensor or possibly a bad CTS feeding bad information to the ECM. Your welcome too btw. Was my pleasure. :D Confused at this reply,...

Re: Replacement fuel lines?
I have a leaking fuel line coming for my gas tank, I'm pretty sure its the send line and its leaking right from where it comes out of the tank. I don't know where I can find a replacement one, can anyone help me out? Are you speaking of the metal section that emerges from the tank, then connects to...

Re: Radiator fan no worky...
Styluss, apologies if I am overstating obvious known concepts. Recall that there are two temp sensors, one for the gauge and one for the ECM. If your car is OBD I, an easy and quick way to test the fan is to insert the paper clip into the proper pins of the diagnostic connector, and turn the key to ...

many in the 20 year+ club? (including myself) Probably not too many... :D 23 years in September this year! May not be many more, passenger pinch weld buckled during a failed state inspection the other day! Seeing body shop next week to see if it can be patched for one more year. (24 years in Novemb...

Re: Spark plugs
Put the four iridium NGK's into the LeBaron turbo the other day and they have not disappointed. Nothing Earth shattering, but I do notice a smoother idle, and a lot less engine vibration under load (such as during a hill climb). I will evaluate over a longer period of time to see if there is any dif...

Re: Spark plugs
I too like Iridium's. In fact they're ALL I use in any of my cars anymore. Snappier throttle response and sometimes, even increased fuel mileage (minimal, maybe 1 mpg, but still...). I like the Autolite Iridiums though. They run about $8 a plug but seem to be fantastic. Nice video from NGK http://w...

Re: Spark plugs
Hmmm. Did some quick digging, and I see that the benefit of an iridium plug is that it uses a smaller electrode, which makes for a more efficient spark and less strain on the ignition system. I thought it was simply another electrode material (like platinum) that stretched out the maintenance interv...

Thought it might be the seat belt switch, but then I read that it was coming OUT of the seat, not being beside the seat. Sorry.

Re: 1990 Sunroof
Is this a factory sunroof? If you are talking about the two mounting tabs (in the glass) that slide into the front, I had a leak there also. I removed the tabs and coated the parts with RTV Silicone before reassembling. Might as well do the tab above the handle while you are at it. Obviously, you ne...

That's one thing I love about having a debate with you Pghturbo88. You always conduct yourself like a gentleman. :D (not sarcasm) Thank you! I always believe that you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar, and that to come on here and flame people accomplishes nothing. Hopefully others noti...

Re: I HAVE to ask!!! answer me this guys!!!
Personally , I've never understood taking a chance with your engine to LITERALLY as stated save $1 to $2. Is it really worth the inherent risk to save a couple bucks for what could cost hundreds or more to fix later? Or get 50k to 100k less miles out of your motor? Just sharing a different point of...
