Re: '89 Beretta GT/U Restoration
I just ordered the engine. A 2001 Impala 3400 V6. It will be here next week. I bought it for $900 with 20,000 miles, 2 year warranty and that includes shipping from Texas. Of course, After I get it I may be upgrading a few parts here and there. So....after talking to my machine shop...I should start...

Re: My '87 GT (56K NOT RECOMMENDED)
unfortunately, I haven't done anything to it. I've wanted to work on it so bad, but I've got no place to work on it, except the street, and what I can do there is limited. Another problem I'm facing is that Berettas are damn near impossible to find in the junkyards around here. I think I may be 1 o...

Re: '89 Beretta GT/U Restoration
Ya. I have changed the fronts many a times. I replaced the ones in the front about 6 years ago. Thinking maybe I should change those too before I make the drive all the way to WI from CA. Still find it odd how the wheel bearings for the front are only $64 and the ones in the rear were $101. Still ca...

Re: '89 Beretta GT/U Restoration
In the rear....lol....yes. First time I changed the wheel bearings. Just started to notice uneven tread wear last year. Not bad for 20 years.Money pit Beretta wrote:Was that the first time you changed the wheel bearings?

Re: '89 Beretta GT/U Restoration
Ouch, can't wait to start that project. How big is the crack? If it's small enough Eastwood has a dash repair kit. If you get a cap there are ones out there that look like the stock dash. You may have to google it, my hard drive went down and I lost the link to the one I bought. I thought it was a ...

Re: 1989 beretta
As far as the tan interior, it is one of the rarest colors. It had to be special ordered from the factory as to me it was never an option of cars on the lot. They had to be ordered that way. At least the '89 was. Some '87's and '88's came with the tan interior on the lot, but weren't too popular. I ...

Re: snowblindburd's Black Betty: 1995 Base
I see. Well at any rate I still apologize for unintentionally delaying your 3400 swap. Thank you for the advice. Which car were you having the issues on? The Hayne's manual is rather vague when it talks about different years "possibly" having things located in different spots. I checked a...

Re: snowblindburd's Black Betty: 1995 Base
Yeah, things were kinda weird then as I remember. Sorry for any trouble I may have caused, it really was not intended. No trouble at all. You never caused any problems. Just the individual that told me I could have the engine was upset that I wasn't spending enough time with them and was upset that...
