No KYB's had sway bar tabs... Wait, didn't I say that already up there ^^^

Jon, I'm curious as well to know what the difference is between the two year ranges as I have the KYB's on my can and bought them from Rock Auto.

Re: Could someone decipher these CEL code(s)?

Every code is flashed 3 times in two digit sequences. 12 is the start code and the end code, what you want are the codes flashed between the 12's. Also, what Jon said, 44 & 45. 44 Oxygen sensor voltage was under 0.2 volts for 60 seconds of closed loop operation. 45 Oxygen sensor voltage was over...

Re: Car wont start

More than likely your problem is a bad CPS, (Crankshaft Position Sensor). It is located on the front center of the engine block right above the oil filter. Be careful if you remove it as it may be very brittle and cracked and you DO NOT want to break it off in the engine block. Remove the bolt and t...

Haha! Besides the couple "tips & tricks" I posted, a Haynes or a Chilton will do just fine.

Re: anybody who is willing to help me rebuild my GTZ?

Quads are super simple to rebuild! If you have all the new parts ready to go sitting next to go and the block doesn't need any work, then it's a simple weekend job. All you really need for "specialty tools" are in. lb and ft. lb torque wrenches, a plasti-gauge to be safe, a piston ring com...

Re: cam carrier gasket?

Thanks Brett. Ill have to try the numbers you gave me, because advance told me they can no longer order them for the 2.3 engines only the newer quads. I just bought those two months ago, they were listed on the computers there as valve cover gasket sets. $11.99 for the intake side and $9.99 for the...

Going to do a compression test next and find out .....sucks its the back side of the motor. Well the cam is hollow and can twist on those motor...

And you should also read the ~FOR SALE SECTION RULES~ and make a proper ad before it's deleted by a moderator. http://www.beretta.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=8292

Re: Attempting to locate my 1991 GTZ

I've lived in Wisconsin for most of my 31 years and have never seen it. More than likely it was scrapped long ago or if it is still around it may not be recognizable as to how you remember it. Good luck!

Re: cam carrier gasket?

I don't know if you can order the carrier gaskets separate, but the whole upper set for either side are only like $10-$12 each and most parts stores carry them! I got mine at Advance Auto here and I have them sitting right in front of me. Fel-Pro (2nd Design) 1988-94 Exhaust Cam Carrier Set Part # V...

All the KYB GR2/Excel G struts for the 87-91 Beretta's are the same. No KYB's come with swaybar tabs.

Re: black GTZ in the JY

Why are a bunch of people asking for parts when it's only for sale as a whole! Can you all not read? It's a Black 1990 GTZ quad 4 5 speed parts car, if it's not smashed, and not rusted to hell, then MORE than likely it has a bad motor! Come on people.
