Re: January 2010 Project Begins (Raspberry)

OFF TOPIC! Woody can you make the "2.3 D.O.H.C. 16 valve" decal in red?? PLEASE!!! I'll buy you a cookie! Those will be a bitch! The letters are so tiny it would be damn near impossible to weed. I'm sure thats why the factory GTZ decals are screen printed on a clear backer. I tried like 5...

Re: First-time garage owner! (with a house attached)

Just got done with the home inspection. I thought the roof had 5 more years (it's original '88), but it's going to have to be done this summer. It's almost identical to the roof on my dad's garage we did ourselves a few years ago, so it shouldn't be a big deal. Met with the lawyer today and he seeme...

Re: January 2010 Project Begins (Raspberry)

I can make that one easy... I don't have silver vinyl, but I do have black. haha

I also have reflective white that basically looks silver until you shine light on it, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Re: January 2010 Project Begins (Raspberry)

Smaller X and a different X. I actually like the larger X better. It just gives the connotation that it far from stock. The X is like a symbol for it being a little more radical, it breaks the out of the stock 3400 logotype.

Re: Project 91 "SS" 3400/5spd

Took my babies out of hibernation yesterday, won't be long before they never see this driveway again. I love fuel injection. I dont think the 3400 even turned a full revolution before it lit. The Camaro on the other hand took about 20 minutes to get that cold-blooded SOB to run. haha Gonna call Stat...

Re: January 2010 Project Begins (Raspberry)

I'll try it with a smaller X too. The file is at work and I wont be until Monday, but I'll see how it looks.

Jon, the X in the LSX is there for the same reason as the X in your 3X00. LS1/LS2/LS3/LS6/LS7...3100/3400/3500...

Re: First-time garage owner! (with a house attached)

The bank is doing the appraisal tmo and the home inspection will be early next week. I signed all mortgage paperwork on Tuesday and am meeting with the lawyer on Monday. So far it's all nice and smooth and moving along well.

I took the X from the new GMPP LSX block logo and modified it to work. What do you think?

The billet trans mount could be fabbed pretty easily if you really wanted to. It's very simple.

Re: January 2010 Project Begins (Raspberry)

I had an idea on the perfect thing to put on your bumper... "3X00". I can draw an X that would match the stock 3400 script (like the emblems I gave you a few years ago). I think it would look cool on the UIM too, but that would be an ass ache. I haven't even touched the "3400 SS"...

Re: Project 91 "SS" 3400/5spd

Did some research to find the best blasting technique before going to town on them and found most people to not recommend bead blasting aluminum. So... I tried some of our paint stripper from work and got the first one done. Started the second one and the stuff from work doesnt seem to work as well ...

Re: January 2010 Project Begins (Raspberry)

How is the WOT-Tech sticker out of place? It's all of the engine parts I have. And my license plate already somewhat did the naming... It seems out of place advertising parts where the model designation should be. That's all. A K&N or Summit sticker, etc under the hood or on the window somewher...
