Re: Fuel Millage

I get 500mi to the tank on the highway; long stretches of 65-70mph driving, like to/from bfest & other interstate trips. I never pay attention to city driving, but I think it's about 25mpg with the city driving I get around here.

Re: Tiffwad said yes

Even though I saw it on FB first, I suppose I should toss an official grats here on your "gay beretta wedding" (Tiff's words, not mine). :O

At this rate we might need to construct some sort of centralized clubhouse. Congrats on the engagement! :)

Re: Weekend fun...

The food in general was great. :D

I'll grab a new air filter in the next week or so, and from now on I'll check for invaders more often lol... at least until I get around to screening it off.

Re: My generic problems... (updated 4-12)

Looked back through my pics & found the bolt. It's all just covered in so much crap that I couldn't even tell there was a hold down with it. And when does anything ever actually want to come out easy

Re: My generic problems... (updated 4-12)

I don't recall that you have to pull the shaft completely out, but that you had to get to the end where the seal is. Since I have never done one, I can't say for sure though. I'll start with just the TB off & see how it goes. I'd rather not screw around with the t-stat housing & have to dea...

Re: My generic problems... (updated 4-12)

Our AAP shows as having the gasket in stock, and if they don't then there's AZ, or Napa, or a dealer, lol. How tall is the drive shaft, because the more I look at my engine, the less fun this looks lol. It looks like the line to the t-stat housing is going to make this thing a pain to do (getting so...

Re: My generic problems... (updated 4-12)

I'm going to attempt to tackle this tomorrow. I kind of lost my spot in the garage. While I was driving Will around to clients my dad loaded his current project car in the avail bay... and Will's retta is taking up the other bay. >.< So hopefully the weather, temp, and daylight is kind to me. I get ...

I can move any easy stuff out of the way. I've got slim hands. :)

Re: My generic problems... (updated 4-12)

Okay, thanks guys. Seems fairly simple, unless I have to dismantle a ton of stuff lol. Are they a behind the counter part? If so, what exactly am I asking them to grab, name-wise... just an "oil drive o-ring"? Or is it just a regular rubber o-ring of a certain size I can just grab off the ...

Re: My generic problems... (updated 3-30)

The thing is that I don't actually know that any of the codes it popped recently were related to the EGR. I was just assuming based on the scan done way back in August, and it seemed to be true since it stopped throwing codes as soon as I swapped the EGR. This new code could be the same deal, or it ...

Re: My generic problems... (updated 3-30)

If it's dry tomorrow I'll get a pic of the area. I'm fairly sure they did those gaskets along with the LIMG. Also had another SES light today. Came on when I was slowing down to hit the toll booths, and went back off maybe 30mi later when I came to a stop. I need to get myself a code scanner soon. -...

Re: My generic problems... (updated 3-30)

Some days I really hate my car. Walking into the garage today I saw a couple dried drips on the floor, look under my car to see fresh oil on the floor. I'm losing more than I thought, and it's definitely coming from somewhere on the upper driver side of the engine. That side of the engine (and anyhi...

Re: My generic problems... (updated 3-30)

Want to hear a funny? TODAY, as I was driving the 03 Caravan around town, I had made a stop at one place, still had the engine running, and someone tells me there was oil running out from beneath my engine! You're lucky someone noticed... or even said something. It seems like these days alot of peo...

Re: My generic problems... (updated 3-30)

Yea I had misunderstood what you were saying. My bad. Everything seemed good today, save for the "low coolant" light. I put the spare EGR on, went for a normal drive (where it would usually pop a code), and all was well. It felt better at idle (not rough or surging I guess is the term I wa...

Re: My generic problems... (updated 3-30)

The filter got changed with the oil, like it always does lol. I would never see the point in just changing the oil and not changing the filter with it. :P
