One reply from one place,
Jonathan,

After having this reviewed by our new projects manager, I am being told that this is beyond our capabilities. I’m sorry we were unable to help this time around. Please keep us in mind for any future opportunities.

Thanks,

i wouldn't have thought this part would have differed so much from other models of GMs

GSH Industries min order is $1,000 No idea if that includes tooling or if that's parts alone.

I'll have to get a drawing made up this week so I have something to send to them with dimensions and such.

The only one that I can think of that would be similar is the Grand Prix of this year range. It had the same pillar mounted doors, but still if GM doesn't have any of that left in stock and no one has produced enough "demand" for the replacement product then no one will have it.

What about the cutlass? Weren't they also similar with the doors/handles, etc?

I'm a little late to the party, and it sucks to hear the responses so far, but I'd like to also express my interest in a couple sets of these.....IF, we can find a company willing to do business. Pretty lame so far though...

Unfortunately as I figured this is dead in the water.... A few places I contacted didn't even care to respond. I guess I'm going to have to figure this out another way, by possibly using a mold that's out there and somehow retrofit it. I'll look into this more with other companies if I get more time, I don't have the time or resources to do this on my own unfortunately and when one person contacts them they pretty much just laugh at me. What ever happened to the world of custom restoration parts? Do I have to call Jay Leno and have him make this?!

You may have to, lol, if not, I wonder if anyone who attends large car shows could talk to a company that may be present, like SEMA or any other large shows, I can check here in canada but we don't have as many.

I may sent Jay Leno and e-mail just for shits and giggles to see what he says if he even reads it... lmao. Worth a shot to at least get a plug on a company that may be willing to do custom small job like that.

I pulled a W-body piece at a yard last week and everything about it is wrong, so scratch that idea.

The only one that I saw was close to it was the Lumina 2 door and even that is short. Beretta's have long doors compared to other cars.

Beretta was one of the first cars to push the glass out almost flush. The design reflects this.

Yeah, like I said, W Body won't work.
