Re: Fairchild Industries Belt Weatherstripping
There was a company that advertised on shows like My Classic Car and such that claimed they had rubber for damn near every automotive application you could imagine, OR would make it.
For the life of me I can't remember the name, but then my brain isn't as sharp as it used to be.
FWIW

Re: Fairchild Industries Belt Weatherstripping
Classic Industries.... Found a vid online of the parts showing and they cover GM "classics" unfortunately our car will never be considered that, but I'll still contact them to see what they say.
Looks like most of their stuff is from OER which is very specific to Camaro, Nova, and some trucks and such....
Sent OER a contact... I doubt it will go anywhere.

It's not Classic Industries.
It's a single name and they have all sorts of rubber for really old vehicles.
Damn radiation!! My brain is blank!!

Funny you talk about Steele... I just passed a trailer yesterday coming back from Run Thru The Hills (a Pro-touring event) in Pigeon Forge, which also had a "Rod Run" going on this past weekend as well. I snapped a picture of their truck w/ the website for this very reason!

OER as typical said they don't offer any products for the Beretta. Like I didn't know that... It blows my mind that people cant realize I'm asking to have something CUSTOM MADE. I know it doesn't exist anywhere already.

Sounds like you need to move up the ladder. People on the low end only know what is there and not what can be done.

Re: Fairchild Industries Belt Weatherstripping
Trust me I tried with one company and they just don't want to deal with small runs. I need to find a company where the owner is the one making the sales... THAT'S when we'll get someone who knows what is capable.Money pit Beretta wrote:Sounds like you need to move up the ladder. People on the low end only know what is there and not what can be done.

If only we could get ahold of the tooling... although I'm sure it's long since been scrapped.

Look at the type of seals they offer and the size of the company... They wont touch us with a 10ft pole.

Re: Fairchild Industries Belt Weatherstripping
Feel free to send them an email... I can already tell by what they produce that they do not have anything similar to what we need so they probably will not help us, they don't even have standard belt weatherstripping.
I've also sent MULTIPLE people emails that say they do "custom rubber extrusions" and honestly I'm beginning to think that term is just BS and they will only deal with custom if you want 8000FT of it.

Re: Fairchild Industries Belt Weatherstripping
This was the best reply I got
Before I make the drawing I needed to know if they could do extruded rubber with a metal strip in it with also a felt end on the glass side of the rubber because if they can't do that then there is no point to continue.
So I sent them another e-mail with a side profile and images to see if they are even capable of doing something like this prior to doing a cross section drawing with dimensions and I never got a reply to that...Thank you for considering GSH Industries for your product needs. Since GSH is a custom manufacture, we do not have a catalog and price sheet. All products are made to your specifications and cost depends on the quantity, dimensions, type of Plastic/Aluminum and color. Please let us know what you are specifically looking for and we would be very pleased to provide you with a quotation. GSH minimum order is $1,000.00 US dollars. All orders are quoted Freight on Board Strongsville OH. If this meets your requirements I would appreciate the opportunity to quote your company. Look forward to your response.
