GTZ side skirts

Post by rjc333 »

I recently noticed some rust coming from underneath my driver side door skirt moulding.  Looking underneath, I see that the moulding is being held in place by what appears to be plastic screw-type inserts.  I tried to pry one out bare-handed, but it wouldn't come out and I didn't want to snap it.  Anyone know how to get these out without breaking them?

They should just pull out. I took mine out with needle nose pliers.

If you pull them out, will you be able to reuse them and put them back in?

Yup. They kind of look like door clips.

use an upholstry removal tool... looks like a flat head screw driver, with a slot in the middle... works pretty slick.
