hey there, i just bought a 1990 beretta gtz in the maroon color. i had it touch up the spoiler and bought some dupli color in the can fron the local auto parts place....i bought gm#380 but i don't think it is quite right. what is the correct name or dupli color #. what i have is a little too dark....

Your pain may be faded, but the color codes are on the SPID in the trunk on the rear tire cover.

There are two codes near the bottom one is a clear coat and one is the base color.

if that dont work you can also take your vin# to your local chevy dealer and theyll tell you the origanal coler of your car

i had to becouse my spare tire cover was replaced!

original color is med. garnet red metallic.that should be good enough, but if you need the paint code, it's in your trunk as stated...It will be WA followed by 4 numbers... ex. WA1234

hey, thanks for your help i called the chevy dealer close and they couldn't help... they said they could only go back to 1996..............i looked on the tire cover and here is the #       wa-L8979
the touch up paint is med.garnet red like yall said...the car was painted before.... do you think they got the color a little off or is there another maroon color.

nope, that was the only maroon type color offered...Though I have had 4 garnet gtz's...each did look a bit different colorwise...Depends on fading, etc I guess...or if the person who painted it with the right paint/pressure/etc...there are a lot of variables in painting that can change the color a lot.

Oh yeah, leave out the L in the paint code...nobody will know what you mean...but yeah, thats the right code...WA8979
