So over an year ago i brought my Beretta to the shop to get some window tint on it and it turns out the shop cant do my rear window cause of the window style... theres no way to tint this window they said, so they have tried it 3 times and gave up.

Now i ordered a pre-cut window tint for my car and tried it myself today and now i see where the problem is... lol. For tinting a rear window the first time it doesnt look but at all but at the lower part of the glass at the two corners i dont get the tint on it. When i put the tint on the glass in one corner and put it all the way to the other corner i cant get it on and the tint is coming off everywhere in the lower section of the glass again...

So anyone got some tips for me? I already thought about to get a lil cut where the corner is so i cant eventually get it on but not sure about that so i thought i ask you first.

I have had experiences with many window tinting places with my Berettas. Everyone I went to suggested to do two pieces and split it at a defrost line for fastest and simplest way saving a few dollars. I later had a non defrost Beretta and the shop I trusted the most was able to do it with one piece that was cut by hand not a machine/plotter. Turned out good, but the cost almost doubled. I would keep searching for a reputable shop that can do it.
I have tinted a few windows, and I just don't see the savings worth the hassle. Much rather create job security lol

Yeah i now i should ask some other shop if they can do it but i am just a little bit afraid they cant do it. So i thought i will give it a try it do it myself...
I asked a guy that owns a pretty known shop for tinting here in town and he already said that the rear window looks difficult and it will be around $500 just for tinting. Thats quite a bit of money, lol.
Well if i dont get that tint on how i want then i just have to ask another shop and let them try.

I paid $200 and someone did my car... and it's perfect... One piece rear window.

BUT i used this YouTube to learn how to do a rear window because I did my wife's forester... It takes time to perfect this method... Yes he makes this look EASY and it's not that easy... lol

This is a dry shrink method... You can also do a wet shrink, Search that on YouTube.

Bottom line you didn't shrink or form the film to the window first so there is no way it will stick flat.

The rear window in a Beretta is said to be one of the hardest of any to do because of the compound curves, but mine is one piece and is perfect.
Think I paid $250 for the whole car.

I'm the type to do everything myself...I even did the tint on my truck...but I will always pay do get it done now. My truck windows should have been super easy and they didn't come out perfect. No way I'd try a Beretta back window. My sanity is worth more than what you'd pay.

I would attempt it with some cheap film to see if I can even shrink it to the back window and if that doesn't work then yes I'd do the same and bring it to a shop to have it done. Sides on the other hand really are not hard to do.

LOTS of solution helps get the crap out of the film.
