i did mine today! major pain in the ass to get back in straight and reinstall the sun visors but i only spent 3 bucks for the spray glue. took me about 2 hours.
i used the factory material and when i hit my head on it earlier it wrinkled a little but it brushed out. is that b/c the glue needs to cure?
whats the strongest glue to get?
second...
any of you guys use fiberglass, rhino liner or plastidip?

That is one thing about the liner board with mine, it is a little soft, Iwould have expected a little harder material and when it gets humidity it really is soft. I assume once covered and installed it will be ok.
Anyways, having never done this before I will pay someone that has for decades, better chance of it lasting.

i redid my liner today. i broke down and went to the fabric store and bought "headliner fabric".
paid 40 bux for 2 yards. the guy at the shop told me to waste some money on the spray stuff so i could bring it back to him in a week to fix. then he suggested i get roll on contact cement from wally world or wherever. the can cost around 7 bux and i had about 1/4 can left. and i smeared it on very liberally. it looks nice and i REALLY hope it holds.
i didnt put the visors back up b/c of their condition and the simple fact they are a pain in the ass to put back up. i may just tint the top part of the window or get some window mounted visors

I just re-done my headliner as well. When i bought my 88 GT back in April,it had the classic "Beretta Sag" and the guy had tacks all over trying to hold it up. Looked kinda "tacky" if you ask me...lol anyway. I havent attempted to do the whole fabric and spray glue thing. I'm sure I could do it if I tried and maybe change the look and opt for a design or something,but I just went to my local JY and found a Beretta who's headliner was still in good shape (it was grey and my interior is blue) but I bought some Dupli-color vinyl and fabric paint in blue which happens to match PERFECT...spray painted it and installed it.....looks like Nothing ever happened and the headliner turned out GREAT!!!!!!

if you do try it, skip the spray. the contact cement that you brush on or roll on is way better. upholstery shop recommended

I had totally forgotten about Barry's ungodly headliner!
But then it's Barry. Nothing is really normal. Best part was giving him beer in NY not realizing he was underage and his father was there.
