strengthening headliner board?

strengthening headliner board?

i stripped the old fabric off of my headliner and some of the board is really weak especially around the edges. anyway to strengthen or reinforce it?

Fiberglass resin.

wouldnt that make it too stiff?

i'm assuming it would be brushed on the side facing the roof

Yes, it will make it stiffer than it was stock. I would just apply it to the weak areas though.

I used fiberglass resin and mesh where I had cracks. It's a shitty job, but it worked for me.
