If the rear axle is that rusted, what is the rest of the car like?

Wow that was a first for me!!
Im also wondering what the rest of the car looks like...looking at that rear axle, I can hardly imagine that there is still something like a beretta around it.

The jack spots are pretty bad other then that I think the rest is alright, well inspect further when it's on the lift. About two months ago I noticed a pencil sized hole there figured it would be fine till I get the money to restore it like I want to, never thought it would spread that fast. Maybe it had something to do with that and the stress from the in-laws dirt road that has about 2 inch washboarding. The car is due for a good one over so now is a good time to do it. New (used) rear was 75$. Will try and remember to get pictures when its up on the lift.

Jacking spots being "pretty bad" means the car is toast... Post pics to verify though.

Once that area goes out its typically pretty bad up there.

I wont bother with a car if it has rust in that area.
