Yeah, there were... not sure what happened there. I'll have to go through my photobucket account and re-link them.

Would this not fix the bolt pattern problem

Some of us don't see it as a problem.

If they are 1/2" thick then that will take care of the spacer needed to get the offset right too. Looks like all they have is 1" thick though, so your wheels will stick outside the fender flares and bottom out on the fenders... not a good solution if you ask me.

I'm sure if we talked to them they could 1/2". I don't see why not anyways.

Depends on what they use to secure that to the original studs, they may say that 1/2 is not thick enough to fit a nut, and have enough material to sufficently hold the spacer to the hub withough pulling through. You'd have to have a 1/4" thick nut and the thickness of whats being bolted would only be 1/4" thick... they may not find that strong enough.

Unfortunately this brake upgrade is not geared toward those who want to keep stock rims... well the 12" brakes wont fit anyways, but even the 11" swap I have is still not really geared toward those individuals. Most who keep stock rims are keep the car mostly stock all together so there is no need for big brakes.

I'm gonna do this and keeping my old Eagles. First I gotta find a place that'll do the re-drill.

Are you using the F-body calipers? This will be interesting to see under some 15's!

no, it would be too big with the F-body hardware. I'm planning on using all N-body but it'll still fill up that 15" excellently.

It should look sexual.

If and when I do the swap I want to keep my factory GTZ wheels, I also considered doing the 92 camaro 25th anniversary wheel conversion also since alot of grand am guys are doing this anyway I like the rims and they kinda carry a bit of GTZ styling too that's why I like them, I just can't remeber if the are 15s or 16s I just wanna know how to converet the rear with disc with same bolt pattern there's gotta be a way to use grand am hubs on the dummy axle in the too or just custom make brackets to do a grand am independent rear disc swap don't know how different they are though

You will have to get an adapter made to fit the new calipers to the knuckles in order for that to work.

For the rear disk, the bolt patterns don't change with the conversions that are available (Neon being the most popular I believe.

And if you are going to attempt to convert the rear of the car to IRS, be prepared to beef the rear suspension support up heavily to take the weight better since it will be placed differently on the body. Not to mention the fact that the Grand Am's you CAN get IRS parts from are a different bolt pattern, which defeats the purpose of sticking with factory wheels.

As stated a few times in this thread, you cannot use your factory 16'' GTZ wheels for this swap. The Camaro rims you speak of were available in 91-92 and are 16''x8'' and have different offsets front and rear. They are also a different bolt pattern than Beretta's and 99+GA's...

Beretta 5x100
99+Grand Am 5x115
Camaro 5x121

What exactly doesn't allow you to use 16" wheels, the corvette caliper clearance?

Caliper clearance and the inner clearances of the wheel of your choice.

Some 16" wheels can fit these larger brakes (F-body calipers have better clearance options since they don't have reinforcement ribs that stick up from the top of the caliper like the C5 calipers do).

I had F-body brakes(F-body calipers/pads/rotors) on my 2000 GTP with the factory 16" Torque Star wheels and had zero clearance issues.

I was wondering about those fins or ribs in the c5 caliper I wonder how much I could grind them down, they almost act as though they are cooling fins with the air trapped between the wheel and caliper to keep them babies cool, if I could grind them down enough to make a Gtz 16" fit I should be good cause of how much the wheel adapters for the lug pattern spaces the wheel out hopefully maybe :Bravo:
