ESo with this you don't need to cut an piece of an exhaust pipe to fit the gap...? ÂÂÂ

I'd rather much drill a bigger hole.
thats for teh rear shocks.

I have the tools and feel confident enough to attempt this mod. Can i use any strut assembly for this? i have monroe sensatrac in there now. I assume its dimensions are identical to the OEM Delco unit shown in the walkthrough.

Can anyone tell me exactly what part number i should be looking for these Koni Yellows? I'm guessing i can get them from a place like tirerack.com...

EYou can't find konis for the rear on a 95-96 either.

Where are they available for the front?

What's an easy way to tell if your shocks/struts are shot?  I've heard of the 1 to 2 bounce test, but don't know if that would apply to our cars.

Price: $348.00 per pair

Special McPherson strut insert bolted into O.E. housing after cutting top and removing old internal parts.

I think the 95+ Cav's use Struts for the back and front.

E"As mentioned before, the Saab shocks have a bigger stud (12mm vs 10mm), so I picked up some 1/2" bushings, torched out the factory mount, and put them in"

There ya go, info, pics and custom Gheybody rear axle setup.
Yes, 95+ J body strut inserts will work. I'm pretty sure the part number is in the V6Z24 link bonecrusher put up.

Yes, you can use Monroe strut housings.

There are also part numbers for the Saab 900NG shocks that will fit in the rear.

Saab shocks only work on the older models (87-94) since the 95-96 Berettas use a different rear suspension.

What they mean is that the Koni adjustable  shocks that fit the Saab will fit the rear  of a 87-94 Beretta. Thats with a little modifying to the shock mount.

Is the modification to the rear shock mount very extensive or is it relatively easy? You guys are talking about the 95-96 model quite a bit just curious will the front conversion be any different in the old models I'm driving an 88! thanks again for all the help. Just one last question, the exhaust pipe peice they used as a "bushing" or spacer, but is that safe, like is it reliable??? thanks again!

The mod to the shock mount is pretty easy. Just heat up the stock steel sleeve in the middle with a blow torch until it breaks free, then stick the 1/2" bushing (available at Home Depot or Tractor Supply in brass, just cut it to length) in the hole while the rubber is still warm.

I know several people who have done this mod to their struts, and I've never heard of any problems with the spacer. I welded mine in, but that was only personal preference, and doesn't need to be done.
