300k+ Miles on springs

Want some new struts? What brand springs to buy? How much camber to run? What brake pads? What's the best setup for your situation....

300k+ Miles on springs

Anyone have over 300,000 miles and running the original coil springs?  I have a squeaking sound when going over speed bumps... similar to the sound of a jackass.... eeeee hooh.... eeeee hooh

Can the springs squeak when they're old?

That would more than likely be struts, I have really never heard of stock L body springs being faulty.

Another possibilty I would check is the rear spring pads. With that many miles they could have rotted away to the point that the coilsprings are metal to metal with the underside of the car and the beam axle. Thus causing your "eeeee hooh"

I've already replaced the struts/shocks and upper mounts...  I'm going to try new coil springs and some new bushings for the sway bar and replace some of the other rubber.
