What I really want - is a quality upper strut mount, solid would be perfectly fine with pressed bearings. I'm getting tired of the noise my relatively low mile kyb ones are making. If engineered properly a bit more reduction in rideheight could be gained too.
I remember hearing that the KYB ones were garbage and Monroe Mounts were far superior.

These?

This is universal where you can drill your own mounting points.

I can get this stuff locally and actually there is several shops to choose from, these places build full custom suspensions and brakes for rally cars.. Off course it will cost quite much, but the stuff is race-proof.

I have seen other parts used on J bodies and similar cars.

Yeah, there's a guy on v6z24 using a similar setup. I think he actually cut off the top of the strut tower and welded the mounting plate in.

Yeah I have them on my Nissan and there great. I'll probably just get more nissan ones and redrill my tower if necessary

I've done quite some miles with the Delrin bushings now, and they are working absolutely perfect.

I have 0 suspension noise from rear axle, absolutely none that I can hear.

@ Road course event, the bushings did their job great, my car felt really balanced in every way. No over\under steer to mention, 0 plow and the car went exactly where i wanted it to go.

Granted that I cannot fully compare these to stock bushings, since the car I installed them is nothing like stock anymore. But I can say, that they are not as neck-killer stiff as I expected, I guess they are working like a bearing would do, allowing the axle to rotate freely. I am very happy with the product.

Someone needs to try these on bit more stock car and then share more experiences.

I'd be up for throwing them in my car. I'm in love with the ride as it is now, so I'd like to see how much it changes...and I will be throwing my rear disc on soon.

This is an incredibly late reply to this post, but yes you're right. However, back in 03 when I bought the strut mounts I don't know how widely known of a fact it was. Figured I was doing the right thing by buying mounts from the people who made the best struts.

Back to the real topic - Cack, it'd be cool if you could bring a set to the fest at least for everyone to check out. I'm interested in a set, but I don't know when they'd get installed and I'm in pennysaver mode until post-fest.
