universal sway bar
Re: universal sway bar
That acheiva has some cool parts on it. That looks overkill but many prefer that on FWD cars to make them rotate a little more.
I was looking into those bars for my rwd swap, my front sway bar needs to go in front of the engine not behind it like stock.

Something I don't think many noticed is that achieva rear axle does not have holes in it like ours does... that makes a big difference in flex to start.

Re: universal sway bar
could always weld in gussets in between the holes. given the amount of holes someone could weld a gusset in between each hole. would probably have to notch out for the internal sway bar.3X00-Modified wrote:Something I don't think many noticed is that achieva rear axle does not have holes in it like ours does... that makes a big difference in flex to start.
i couldn't find any good pics of the rear axle to put my thought to picture.
EDIT
it's kinda similar to what some people are doing with the rear trailing arm's on the GA.

Re: universal sway bar
probably something they did when they added the internal sway bar in the axle.
could either weld gussets or box it in or a little bit of both. filling in the holes might be a waste if your going to do the other two.

Looks like it was changed with the spring change in 95. The images of a 94 axle has not swiss cheese... but the 95's do

Re: universal sway bar
I'll still lift a tire when turning on to the road at work and thats the Addco bar and internal bar, so it's not that bad... I consider mine pretty stiff as is. the definately reinforced how the bearing was put out there though, those tubes I wonder how well they stay where they should be... Mine is a big boxed in tower for the bearing.
Re: universal sway bar
No wonder the 95 years rusted so bad. LOL
