Those prices aren't cheap, but once the car is inspected and safe for the road, the front and rear bars are going in.

How are the Moog replacement springs I see for sale?

Get the Cavy front bar, they are just as good if not better. Moog's? Had them on my 90GT and they were stiff. I hated them.

If you can't find a Cavy bar I have a few. I can tell you that you can find stock springs, but they cost alot more than Moog's.

What does everyone recommend for struts?

I was thinking of just going with KYB GR-2's as they performed admirably for an OEM shock on the Civic I had a few years back. Even with the car lowered 2.25" all the way around.

I run the KYB's on my car with Eibach springs, I can't complain for an affordable option. However if I do change them I'm going with Koni J-body inserts up front and Koni rear Saab socks.

I ran GR-2's and Koni Yellows on my Civic, I was pleased with both but the Koni's were definitely more performance oriented and setup for my lowered suspension.

What are the Saab shocks for? better travel?

The Saab shocks are the only ones that fit our cars made by Koni... thats the reason for them. Hence the reason for the J-body front inserts too and not L-body.

Nobody makes a performance shock specific for our car, the KYB is as stiff as you can get unless you start custom fitting.

My plan is to keep this car stock, but i'm sure i'll make a subtle change to every single part of it before i'm "done" LOL

It's just that my old DD went from an economical (24MPG) but slow diesel GMC Jimmy and turned into a lifted, turbo diesel, mad-max survival rig and it's not gonna turn out to be the best DD (still gets 16MPG though).

Damn, I didn't know it was that high. And let me guess, having the Beretta logo etched into it made them even more expensive? lol

That bar is expensive, but for a brace as nice as that you can expect to pay $125-$200 for other models.

I had cheap, adjustable Ebay strut bars on my Civic first and they made a subtle difference. Then I bought a front strut bar that was custom made and fully welded that made the front end of my car feel like a completely different animal.

I don't know what the Z24 braces are like, personally, but I'm planning on ordering an upper and lower brace soon. Then a rear brace, rear sway bar, etc.etc.

The Z24 bar is steel, no flex what so ever. You could fight a bear with it.

I actually have video showing the difference in the flex of the Cavalier bar vs. the MRZ bar.

When the car is parked, and moving the wheels to full lock, the MRZ bar flexes up about 1/16-1/8" of an inch.

The Cavalier bar does not flex at all.

If you want the stiffest possible bar, that doesn't allow the strut towers to flex, I think the option is clear.

While the MRZ bar is a very sexy piece, I'll stick to my color matched GM bar.

So that's 2 people now, telling me to go with the stock one. So I know which decision to make
