Sway bar size?

Want some new struts? What brand springs to buy? How much camber to run? What brake pads? What's the best setup for your situation....

Sway bar size?

Post by Money pit Beretta »

Just need to know if the FE2 front sway is the same as the FE3. I don't want to by a Addco front for my 95 if I don't need to.
The point of all this is to get sways to match the Eibach springs I'm getting from ACE.

No, its FE2 not FE3... And FE2 was never created equal either... I had a 94 that had a MUCH smaller swaybar than my 95 did and IIRC it wasnt even the same as my 96 before I swapped that to the Z26 30mm bar.

FE3 was a 30mm front swaybar... What SCD was getting at is you can probably find a stock swaybar from a GT or FE3 equipped car for MUCH cheaper than buying an Addco bar.

Yeah the thought had crossed my mind, but it's more about luck at JY these days.
At around $170 the front Addco is a bit much.

Nailed it! Plus you don't have to get it from a Beretta! The same bar can be found on older Z24's, Grand Am GT's, Achieva SC's, Skylark GS, etc. Money Pit, if you can't find one or don't want to pull one at a yard, let me know! ;)

Thanks scd88ga. I'd have to be ultra lucky to find one on my own. Give me a a little time to make sure of some things.

So is the stock bar the hollow one?
Are you going to sell yours 3X00?

make sure you dont get it from a quad with fe3 like an achieva or grand am, it wont clear the exhaust. this is assuming your car is a v6

Ah! Good tip, thanks. You can still get it from V6 Achieva SC's and Grand Am GT's though.
