Fog lights GTZ

Post by felixGTU »

Hey guys I wanted to know how much watts does the OEM fogs use. I wanted to get some new bulbs but I just want to make sure I do not burn the wire harness.

They are 55W. Do not get 100W bulbs unless you upgrade the wiring and add an upgraded relay into the system.

Ok thanks guys. I was going to add some new ones but 100 watts seemed to high for me so I had to ask. I wanted to get some yellow bulbs but they are 100 watts. I will not be buying them then.

FYI there are plenty of yellow 55watt bulbs out there, I would go with good name like PIAA. They are worth it After all yellow is what a fog light is meant to be for best visibility despite that I see soo many people use the annoying dark blue ! Its cool ? ^ yes the wiring will not handle the current plus the cheaper ones even 55watt will not last long in the stock enclosures behind the center baffles (too much heat) and remember use gloves !

Worth the money, the yellow fog is nice to have. I have 3000k bulbs in my legacy fogs and 6000k in my headlights... Yellow and very white, no blue blue for me.
